Highly dedicated, results-oriented and people-focused development professional with over ten years career experience with Not-for-Profit organizations in Pakistan. I possess strong ability to identify community strengths and weaknesses and develop program interventions from field data collections. With excellent team building, honed communication and analytical thinking skills, I gained hands-on experience of working with grass root communities and using different community development strategies during these ten years experience. Working with local and international development organizations provided me with an opportunity to learn about identifying community problems in collaboration with other government and non-government stakeholder and fostering under-served community members participation in different activities.
Currently i am leading the Community Engagement Department of Ipas an INGO working on Women's Reproductive Health Rights in their country office Pakistan. As Community Engagement Advisor, I am responsible to plan, implement and monitor innovative community-based projects aimed at increasing access to reproductive care for women and girls in Pakistan. I am engaged in developing and implementing training materials for Lady Health Workers and community women in coordination with public sector stakeholders and community based civil society organization
As Community Engagement Advisor, I am responsible to conducted need assessment studies, research innovative interventions based on need assessment, plan, implement and monitor innovative community-based projects that aim at addressing the existing harmful gender norms by increasing access to post abortion care for women and girls in Pakistan. Developing abstracts for international and national conferences on SRHR to share best practices with world. I am also engaged in action research by developing and implementing social and behavioral change materials and messages for Lady Health Workers and community women and studying and dissemination of its impacts on them in coordination with public sector stakeholders and community based civil society organization.
Led different qualitative researches including capacity need assessments of government line departments in terms of community driven development and gender mainstreaming, impact assessment and knowledge, attitude and practices surveys with Govt line departments and community organizations to design relevant interventions to help reduce the gap between public sector services delivery organizations and the community.
I led the implementation of gender transformative approaches by empowering women economically under the European Union funded Program for Economic Advancement and Community Empowerment in Chitral District through microenterprise trainings, forming business interest groups and enhancing networking among women led micro enterprises in Chitral.
As Gender Monitoring Officer I performed gender analyses and gender audits, managed gender strategies within the organizational initiatives/projects to inform decision making and program adjustments. This experience enhanced my analytical and critical thinking skills.
As Monitoring & Evaluation Officer I monitored the quality of services offered to Gender-Based Violence victims and effectiveness of Gender-Based Violence prevention and response mechanisms. Conducted gender assessment and gender analysis for every intervention the organization carried out.
