Electoral & Political Inclusion of Women & Marginalized Groups:

Establish partnerships with CSOs and the media to support the cause. Build sustainable constituencies by highlighting citizen-centric issues in public policy and legislation and networking with civil society organizations and media outlets.
Developed and strengthened long-term relations with over 80 female lawmakers, parliamentary entities, women's caucuses, political party representatives, and ministry officials through various advocacy initiatives.
Led the Women Legislators Leadership Development Program, a unique intervention aimed at reserving seats for women in politics and mainstreaming their participation.
Successfully persuaded political parties and parliamentarians to adopt pro-women and inclusive electoral and political reforms, resulting in increased women's representation in politics.

1-Advocacy for Constitutional Rights (economic, political, electoral & fundamental rights) of Women & marginalized groups (transgender and persons with disabilities):

Promoted economic rights of women in formal sector by creating new and improving workplaces through law enforcement. Supported constitutional rights of women and marginalized groups to ensure empowerment and representation in decision-making entities. Built strong working relationships with decision makers and policy makers, including political parties, ministries, elected representatives, and parliamentary bodies.
Achieved voting, assembly, public office rights, and accessibility for persons with disabilities through successful advocacy with national and provincial decision makers.
Led advocacy efforts to drive reforms for inclusive elections and human rights with respect to electoral and political rights of women, transgender persons, and persons with disabilities.
Promoted the acknowledgement of informal sector workers' contributions, boosting labour force participation and rights protection, such as, agriculture, home-based, and high-tech workers.

2-Institutional Strengthening & CSO Networking:

Held full accountability for designing criteria to establish WWA and CIP forms at district, provincial and national level. Achieved desired results through close collaboration with parliamentarians, Ministries, elected representatives, women rights champions, Civil Society Organizations, public/private Institutions, Trade unions, women, and human rights commissions, Political parties and other stakeholders
Represented women workers from formal economy across Pakistan including 14 districts while delivering advocacy support to Women Workers Alliance, National steering committee.
Actively engaged in advocacy actions for electoral and political rights and Human rights of marginalized groups at the national and provincial level.

3-Capacity Development:

Designed training programs on gender sensitization, cyber harassment prevention, legal frameworks, human rights principles, and safe social media usage. Delivered training programs for diverse groups, including high officials of NADRA, Citizen Governance groups, young leaders, women workers' alliances, and the Coalition for Inclusive Pakistan.
Planned, developed, and led capacity development programs for Implementing partners, young leaders, staff, Citizen Groups, Women Workers Alliance and Alliance for Inclusive Pakistan on electoral & human rights, labour laws and governance, and gender sensitization.

4-Gender & Inclusive Research:

Developed survey tools and training modules for conducting socio economic survey for mapping of socio-economic impact on low income families during the COVID. Helped the team in creating and performing workplace monitoring research from across Pakistan to assess the violation of labour laws.
Played an integral role in leading first ever gender audit of 100+ federal and provincial labour laws.
Facilitated team members in performing research and publishing report “Including the excluded”, based on experiences of transgender, women, and persons with disabilities’ as voters & candidate in general election 2018.
Recognized loopholes and prepared recommendations with the gender and inclusive lens while directing gender and inclusive audit of election act.

5-Project Management/Technical support to grantees:

Served as a part of Technical review committee to examine proposal of grantees and prepare detailed statement of work for implementing partners. Organized, capacitated, and enhanced skills of Women workers Alliance to raise demands for gendered economic reforms in labour laws and improve labour governance in Pakistan.
Supervised and executed various projects, such as Citizens Action for Democratic Governance in Pakistan (2017) and Democracy and Election Support in Pakistan funded by DFID, the purpose of projects to support democratic governance by engaging citizen groups in electoral governance in Pakistan
Executed pilot phase of the project “Promoting the Human Rights and Electoral Participation of People with Disabilities (PWD), Transgender People (TP), and Women in Pakistan” funded by U.S. State Department, Bureau of Democracy, and Human Rights and labour.

Led the oversight and planning of field implementation for a complex development project, ensuring effective coordination and management of resources.
Created comprehensive capacity building materials tailored to the specific needs of diverse target groups, including community-based organizations, public officials, and political workers.
Led thorough reviews and planning exercises to assess program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic recommendations.

 

Achieved positive results through partnerships by addressing child rights issues in liaison with public officials, political parties, and service providers. Provided technical assistance to partners in mapping deserving families using poverty scorecard as well as designed capacity development materials on child protection. Developed strategy and guiding manuals to identify social development schemes benefiting children.
Set a benchmark of excellence by developing training curriculums and modules on gender-based violence, child rights, and social mobilization for field staff of implementing partners.
Succeeded in conducting poverty targeting surveys and engaging local support organizations to identify child rights issues and develop social development schemes.

1-Child rights and support

Built referral mechanism linkages for legal aid, medical services, and financial support. Played a key role in executing various programs and projects around child rights and protection themes. Developed material on child rights, protection, and community mobilization for girls' formal and non-formal education and safety.
Led "Protective Learning and Community Emergency Services" project funded by UNICEF, developing curriculum on child rights, safe public spaces, life skills, gender violence, and social participation.
Nominated by UNOCHA and UNICEF as gender focal person in Sindh region, supporting child rights partners.
Established 10 schools and developed "Community Sharing Model for Early Childhood Education" to create low-cost centers (10 schools) for low-income farmers' children.
Facilitated the team in executing a 4B Rupees project for "Union Council Based Poverty Reduction" in 2009.
Supported capacity building for "Promoting Child Rights in Cotton Farming Areas of Balochistan" project.

2-Social and Human Protection

Conducted comprehensive baseline research in South Punjab and Sindh to identify issues of honor crimes, resulting in a collaboration with the National Commission on the Status of Women.
Led an initiative to help destitute and street children families and low income women in enhancing their skills by offering decent work through marble mosaic production and startup support.
Designed vocational and life skills trainings for destitute families in five industrial zones, resulting in economic upliftment.
Helped in executing a major livelihood and life skills program for youth in district Vehari by Plan International.

3-Community Mobilization/Institutional strengthening

Ensured expansion of community organization from Muhallah to Tehsil & Union Council through community mobilization.
Raised awareness and increased participation in child rights, women empowerment, agriculture development, and youth development through engagement with community organization.
Improved project management skills and institutional capacity of Local Support Organizations through training on project development, institutional strengthening, and financial management under USAID funded program and small grants.
