Leading and managing regional level portfolio, develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity and inclusion with in team, people management and communications, risk management, ensuring overall strategy, collaboration and integration with close coordination to Regional Director, director operations and Head of Program.
Managing and providing strategic direction for services in the regional functional areas of operations support: budget, financial management and reporting, administration, supply, and logistics management
Supporting Regional Director to ensure that processes are in place to identify, promote and empower the potential in operations staff within the region
Plan, prioritize and manage all operations within the programme with focus on impact, quality, efficiency and relevance
Advice on the implementation of Results-Based Management through results-based planning including results-based budgeting and implementation using Value for Money criteria;

Emergency Preparedness:
Leads Regional situation analysis, including overview of the humanitarian architecture, disaster scenarios/context analysis and stakeholder mapping, proactively engages in Country Strategic planning process and mid-term reviews
Ensures that adequate emergency preparedness measures are taken through the development, updating and implementation of the Country Humanitarian Preparedness and development plan,
Identifies implementing partners for inclusive humanitarian and development assistance, carries out mapping of different organizations, networks and alliances in both humanitarian and development context.
Identifies likeminded organisations for collaboration for joint influencing and providing technical assistance to mainstream humanitarian and development actors.
As part of the preparedness work defines the where, when, how, with whom and value addition for inclusive humanitarian response and long term development.
Supports stakeholders to respond; based on the sectors they work in, and in line in the areas of MH operation (Rehabilitation, development, Inclusive WASH, health, Education, Food Security & Livelihoods, and Shelter depending on context and partners’ expertise), programme standards, tools, processes and social strategy
Capacity Development and Knowledge Management:
Develop and maintain a suitable network in the area of social development to keep abreast of the latest developments and issues.
Contribute substantially for advocacy, dissemination and knowledge building on social development.
Identifies the capacity development needs of the Regional office team in inclusive humanitarian action and facilitates the required capacity building events to address the identified gaps.
Inducts project staff on relevant humanitarian standards and tools (e.g. Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS), Humanitarian Inclusion Standards for Older People and People with Disabilities
Contributes towards collective learning within organization through structured documentation, good practices and lessons learned on participatory approaches and dissemination of these learning’s.
Project Management:
Ensure to incorporate key technical, economic, financial and crosscutting issues into projects.
Supports the development of humanitarian/development funding proposals as per need.
Leads the development and effective set-up of inclusive emergency response and recovery programme strategies and subsequent development projects.
Ensures timely and quality programmatic reporting on MH’s humanitarian and development interventions.
Overseeing project planning, approaches, tools, implementation strategy of Emergency Response Programme in consultation with Regional/Country Manager to ensure that programme strategy is regularly reviewed according to the humanitarian principles, mainstream crosscutting themes i.e. social mobilization, equality, gender and protection, set direction by prioritizing activities, organizing resources
Grant management:
Managing execution of projects in light of technical quality, standards, held kick off meetings to discuss the contract and compliance with agreed terms and conditions, mitigate risks, trouble-shoot any unforeseen challenges for effective project management.
Providing support to Country Program Manager in reviewing, drafting grant contracts with donors; undertaking work plan in consultation with stakeholders, supervising grant implementation process and providing inputs on the projects strategy, overseeing the quality of outputs/ outcomes
Oversee the management of humanitarian and development grants in KP
Donor Compliance
Ensure that donor proposals, budgets and reports are of high quality; meeting deadlines; formats and processes are understood, being adhered to donor requirements within program implementation.
Communication and Proposal development
Assessed on-going humanitarian situation, reporting with recommendations for MH's response and scale-up to identify new donors for diversifying MH donors’ portfolio, oversee the RFPs documents, Expression of Interests, develop concept notes, proposals in consultation with the relevant program units in line with country strategy and donor requirements to enable expansion and scale-up the programme.
Quality control/Monitoring/ Evaluations /Reporting:
Assess local contextual needs in view of emergency response and development, headed comprehensive need assessment processes, analysis, monitoring, and evaluation of activities, impacts, with a focus on quality control. Developed project’s monitoring framework, developed regular reports and communication mechanism. Monitoring program implementation based on schedule budget, quality work to incorporate input, process, output, outcome and impact indicators, evaluate activities in view of allocated resources, respective budget, agreed work plans and M&E frameworks
Operations:
Maintain an oversight of the humanitarian situation on the area of responsibility ensuring that program strategy, development and implementation is orientated to need and that gaps are addressed
Contribute to project design ensuring that new proposals are in line with area strategy, feasible and adequately resourced,ensure timely and quality reporting from all program units and detailed analysis of program status, constraints and mitigating factors,
