As a seasoned Public Health Researcher with over 15 years of experience, I specialize in maternal and child health and nutrition. My career includes affiliations with esteemed institutions, such as Aga Khan University in Karachi. I have held various positions at organizations like Aga Khan University (AKU), Youth Organization (YO) Quetta, Trust for Vaccines and Immunization (TVI) Karachi, Health and Nutrition Development Society (HANDS) Karachi, Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) Karachi, and other local entities.
In my current role, I work on the AKDN Integrated Immunization and Nutrition Initiative in seven districts of Pakistan. My responsibilities include coordinating with district administration to finalize intervention areas in consultation with provincial and district managements and contributing to project tools. Before this, I was involved in projects like CASI-GBC and BNP GB at Aga Khan University, focusing on the polio super-high-risk councils in seven districts of Karachi, Sindh Province. I managed diverse project tasks across four provinces of Pakistan, including ten districts of Gilgit Baltistan and AJK, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth project execution.
My expertise includes developing data collection tools, managing translations, and maintaining robust communication with stakeholders such as government officials, civil society organizations, and community representatives. I ensure timely and transparent reporting of project activities and monitor project-related activities through qualitative and quantitative data collection, regularly preparing and submitting monthly progress reports.
I hold master's degrees in public health from Sarhad University in Peshawar and in Social Work from the University of Karachi. Currently, I serve as a Research Specialist at the Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health at Aga Khan University. My skills encompass project planning, implementation, and execution, with a strong background in conducting research and advancing knowledge in public health.
