I have demonstrated project and program launching competencies, planning, management, coordination, communication, implementation, researching, and monitoring evaluation in Education and Health-Nutrition with cross-cutting gender perspectives at regional and district levels. My experience encompasses a leadership approach in Nutrition MNCH FP disaster management (DRM) coordination in all emergency sectors Poverty Alleviation, Women Empowerment, GBV Food Security, Training Capacity buildings project management, monitoring evaluation, liaison, social mobilization, organizing CBOs for village/rural development, Researching studies, designing project management tools, data analysis, data management, report writing, development of IEC material training manuals and conduction of Training.
• Ensure that IRC implementation of the Simplified protocols and IYCF activities correspond to internationally accepted standards, country guidelines and UNICEF guidelines.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly and follow-up on nutrition program implementation to review progress towards objectives through organizing regular review meetings, update and experience sharing meeting among staff.
• In collaboration with the team, identify existing project implementation gaps and new opportunities for nutrition while liaising with partners and stakeholders to ensure that proposed activities and programs align with best practice in the nutrition sector in 3 districts of Sindh.
• Lead the development of a referral mechanism and communication strategies and train nutrition project staff in case detection and referrals between community and OTPs/ BISP facilitation centres/ hospitals.
• Support the nutrition staff and supervisors to ensure proper functioning of reporting systems data flow mechanisms for regular assessment, monitoring and evaluation of the program against its objectives and expected results. And conduct critical monitoring of all aspects of nutrition activities and identify areas of concern. Submit workable solutions for identified challenges.
• Demonstrate understanding of multi-sectoral approach to malnutrition and ensuring that nutrition project beneficiaries are linked with other sector interventions and provide guidance to project staff on the integration of a nutrition component into other sectors as appropriate such as food security, Health, WASH and disaster prevention and preparedness.
• Liaise with senior manager Health and Nutrition/health coordinator, provincials Nutritionists and others to ensure that specialized support is available at the field/district/activity level to increase coverage and overall efficacy of the program.
• Actively participate and represent IRC in nutrition sector coordination forums, discussions, and activities, serve as an IRC nutrition resource person, and display technical and organizational leadership in sectoral activities.
• Create and maintain smooth relations and open collaboration with Government and local stakeholders and serve as the nutrition resource person.
• Coordinate IRC’s nutrition activities and across a wide range of actors including donors, host governments, UN, and NGO partners to ensure consistency of programming at the field level.
• Ensure project quality completion with MoVs, stakeholder coordination, reporting and team building.
• Provide technical support to Nutrition Assistants and IYCF staff to implement the AAP nutrition program, including capacity development of staff through thematic trainings and on-the-job-mentoring
