The besides day to day administrative functions, i was solely responsible for ensuring hospital medical quality standards, including policy making, policy implementation and follow-up, maintaining and following medical quality indicators etc. Beside these i was given various projects over time including development of paperless hospital module compliant to Joint Commission International (JCI) and other accrediting bodies and MOH.
I successfully completed the liver transplant and the renal transplant project as the project manager. This was first of its kind in the western region of Saudi Arabia and also first in our group, which later is being replicated to the other branches of the group.
I had opportunity to improve Operating room functionality where i decreased the patient turn over time from more than 45 minutes to below 25 minutes. The The average start time improved by 20 minutes as well.
As member of all major hospital committees, i represented the medical division in morbidity and mortality committee, hospital steering committee, operating room, tissue review and blood utilization committee, Incident review committee, fire and safety committee, quality and patient safety committee, ethical committee, utilization review committee.
I also had analysis function, where besides reviewing the patient documentation, i was also involved in implementation of ICD-10 and ACHI coding systems.
We had a successful session with World Health Organization on screening of medical errors in KSA.
As representative of Saudi German Group, i shared in development of Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision of a healthy nation which was conducted by Minister of Health of KSA and by the Ex-minister of Health of England.
As a part of strategic planning team of the organization, i am experienced to work at the corporate level and as running the basic functions like OR, i can be on the ground to run basic functions .
