As SCADA system Engineer, I am responsible for maintenance of SCADA functionalities of hardware and
software of SCADA Master Station. The detailed tasks assigned include the following:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

o Integrate changes of power network (220kV, 132kV, 66kV, 11kV) into SCADA network (SINAUT Spectrum)
for real-time monitoring and control.
o Establish and review connectivity for visualization of power network
o Specify logics and formulae in database and its configuration in SDM
o Assign TCI address & verify IEC 870-5-101 RTU protocol to their respective components. Allocate channel,
baud rate and transmission type
o Telecom channel diagnosis (IEC 101/104) protocol using IEC-Tester
o Full and incremental backup of SCADA servers (Administrator Server, Real Time Communication Server
,Telecommunication Server & Database Server) & Workstations
o Log and maintain records/reports for all tasks assigned through SAP Plant Management module.

ACHIEVEMENTS

o Successfully decoded IEC 870-5-101 packages to acquire and analyze data sent by RTU.
o Successfully created a communication channel (using IEC 60870-5-104 protocol) between SCADA server
and remote RTU.

Completed four weeks Internship in the Electrical and Mechanical Department at COWI A/S, which is an
international consulting group from Denmark which specializes in engineering, environmental science and project
management. During my internship I worked on two projects, Al Wakhra and PS16N. The Al Wakhra was a design
built project of a logistic city for which the electrical department designed the electrical and telecommunication
infrastructure. The PS16N was a review project of upgradation of a sewage pumping station. In both the projects I worked on reviewing the IFC (Industry Foundation Class, it is an open data standard for 3d design) drawings to check their conformance with KARAMAA and QCS standards and with costumer’s requirements.
