1. Water Conservation Projects:
I. Water Conservation in Fabric Processing Area
a. In fabric processing area we use a Softener Plant to soft processes water by Ion-exchange process, in which it needs regeneration step with brine water & fresh water, we take a initiative to reuse fresh water at that stage to conserve water at our side and we achieve to save large amount of water because this step need large amount of water we may be reusable. In this process we are saving 2.2 % of water per Month.
II. Hot water Reuse After Rubber belt
a. Reuse hot water after rubber belt & drum of shrinking machine and singeing machine.
b. Reuse the hot water after cooling the rolls burners of singeing machine. In this process we are saving 0.98 % of water per Month.
III. Filter water Reuse System
a. Reuse the water after washing the blanket and after filtration process. In this process we are saving 0.80% of water per Month.
IV. Counter flow system of water through Gravity.
a) Counter flow system of water through Gravity conserves water at bleaching machine.
V. Reuse hot water after cooling the rolls
a) Reuse hot water after cooling the rolls at singeing machine .
VI. Rain Harvesting System
a) To conserve water at our site we take initiative Project Rain Harvesting System in which we store Rain water which will be use in gardening or Flushing. This system depends on Rain , According to Meteorological department of Karachi last year recorded rain fall in Karachi is approximate 30 mm and over rain catchment area is approximate 27000 sqft , In this process we are saving 1.2.% of water .
b) Installation of storm water runoff system in overall covered area of building as per LEED’s requirement.
VII. Air Conditioner Condensate water Reuse.
One Ac having capacity 1.5 ton drain 8 liters of condensate water in 8 hours in our company we have 112 Ac in which we save condensate water and reuse in gardening. In this process we are saving 1.1% of water per Month.
VIII. Tap water Reducer
We installed reducer in all tap water to conserve or reduce water consumption. In this process we are saving 01% of water per Month.
IX. Flush Adjustable System
One time flush drain 9 liters of water we replace flush system with adjustable system in which we save 5 liters of water per flush. In this process we are saving 1.8% of water per Month.
X. Grey Water Reuse System
a. Grey water is also called Wash water from Wazu Khana , basans , kitchens etc we have installed separate pipelines or tank to reuse grey water in our flush system or gardening plantation.
XI. RO Plant Installation.
i. Installation of RO plant before feeding boiler to improve efficiency of boiler.
ii. Installation of RO plant to reuse wastewater in flushing system as per LEED’s requirement .
2. Solid Waste Management Projects:
I. Composting Project from Organic waste & Dry Sludge
To reduce Environmental Footprint we take a initiative Project "COMPOSTING" in which organic waste decompose with Dry Sludge in the presence of Microorganism to produce Humus like substance called COMPOST (fertilizer).
This project solves our Sludge storage /disposes off problem, increase plantation easily, best sustainable approach, increase market value,
II. Reduce Plastic Waste through Parachute Bags.
To reduce solid waste in our company we are using Parachute bags for moving cut pieces of fabric then this bag can be reuse.
III. Reduce Binder Drums Waste
Binder drum having capacity 200 L replaced with 1000 L tank to that can be reuse and solid waste also reduced.
IV. Solid Waste Segregation System
Developed colour coded healthcare waste segregation system in all departments for segregate the waste at source and easy to send recycling or incineration from external lab.
V. Waste Management System
Develop overall factory waste management plan department waste hazardous or non hazardous.
3. Energy Conservation Projects:
I. Installation of 20kw Grid Tie Solar Energy System in which we are saving 0.4% of energy and also reduce 0.4% Co2 Footprint.
II. Replace Energy saver with LED lights in all Processes area, in which we are saving1.06 % and also reduce Co2 Footprint.
III. Replace Emergency lights with LED emergency lights with UPS backup system.
IV. Reuse condensate steam after drying cylinder to be used in steam boiler to save gas.
V. Replace sewing induction motors with energy saving servo motors in all stitching areas estimated saving 1.13 % overall.
4. Gas Saving:
1) Heat recovery (waste heat recovery boiler) from exhaust of generators to be used in different machines.(80% energy recover)
2) Heat recovery (Plate Type Heat Exchanger) from exhaust of generators to be used in different machines. .(80% energy recover)
3) Using Economizer to raise the temperature of water before going in boiler.(5% raise temperature)
4) Pleva to check the humidity of fabric and control the speed of exhaust fan accordingly.
5) Installation of RO system before feeding water in boiler to improve efficiency by convert hard water to soft water .
5. Electrical Saving:
I. Texto meter to check the moisture in fabric according to requirement and control the speed of machine.
II. Using Invertors in all heavy machines in plants to meet constant efficiency in electrical motors.
III. Installation of Energy Savers lighting System in overall factory to reduce energy consumption.
IV. Installation of LED lights in all stitching units to reduce energy consumptions
