Time management is really life management. With passing time life is becoming so exhaustive and time management is proving to be a very big issue nowadays. Everyone wants to have quick access to information. As the world is moving towards advancement, things are becoming smarter and smarter. Keeping the importance of mirror in daily life we decided to make an Interactive Mirror as our final year project. The main purpose of our project is to provide a function like any other mirrors in the market whilst adding extraordinary, convenient and interesting features to the mirror hence enhancing the user experience all to the different level. An Interactive Mirror is basically a Gesture Controlled Smart Mirror, which is designed to display useful information such as Date & Time, Weather Update, and News Feed on its surface according to the particular gesture made by the user. An Interactive Mirror is not smart and interactive only; but it is also power efficient that displays information only whenever it detects any user in front of it; otherwise it behaves as a common mirror and saves electric power which is very expensive in our country. Time efficiency is also the main focus of our study. It saves user time and efforts by displaying information, when he/she is using a mirror and reminds the user about important notifications that he may forget like “Remember to an umbrella with you it’s raining outside”(Weather) or “traffic is jam on highway takes an alternative route”(Headlines). Last but not the least the applications of Interactive Mirror are countless. We can add any number of features to it, to increase user experience.
