Key and important responsibilities are:
Round the clock checking assigned units and ensure safe operation of the Plant, in case of deficiencies report shift supervisor.
Carry out the safe preparation of equipment for maintenance and inspection and monitor the work to ensure compliance with work permits.
Maintain efficient operating conditions and procedures to meet required product yield &quality.
To respond to any operating problem or emergency situation that occur during the shift in accordance with standard procedures and/or instruction from the shift supervisor.
Perform and direct safe and efficient shutdown and start up of assigned units in accordance with standard procedures.
Performs all routine activities of assigned units.
To handle different kinds of emergencies while maintaining plan routine operation, thus reducing down time of plant.
To ensure that all information relating to the operation of the plant during the shift is available to the Area Superintendent /Shift Supervisors.
Ensure that there is comprehensive transfer of essential information at end of shift handover to and from next shift.
