• To lays out plans estimates cost for constructing transmission lines high tension facilities for carrying power from source to distributing points.
• To visit proposed construction sites and select best shortest route to avoid interference with telephone or other lines.
• To submit data on proposed route to right of way department for obtaining necessary easement.
• To perform detailed calculations to draw up construction specification like conductor sag, pole strength and also necessary grounding.
• To estimate labour, material and also construction costs.
• To keep informed on new developments in electric power transmission.
To visit the site on daily basis inspecting complete installation and submitting report on work progress.
