Humanitarian and development professional with 13 years of multi-country experience in the sector. Proven ability in proposal writing, grants management, donor reporting, coordination, donor compliance and building effective partnerships with different stakeholders. So far, I have contributed to the acquisition of USD 50 million while working with different international and national NGOs in Pakistan and abroad.
Outline:
· Funding and grants management: Collaborates with technical staff to develop programs and projects which address the needs of vulnerable populations in humanitarian emergencies and development context. Develops grant manuals and guiding notes to ensure better coordination and compliance for grant tracking and reporting. Devises initial guidelines for donor contractual obligations for country office staff with support of HQ and organizational offices in different countries involved in the project. Participates in internal contract negotiation between home country office, HQ, and partner country offices. Coordinates with consortium members for negotiations on key financial and other contractual parameters such as match funding, cost sharing and administrative arrangement. Identifies potential funding opportunities at an early stage and fosters collaborative relationships with relevant donors, local authorities, partners, and other stakeholders, including government officials.
· Humanitarian crisis: Design and develops emergency response strategies and projects for various donors particularly on inclusive and resilient education, education in emergencies, emergency healthcare, and 4RF - resilient recovery, rehabilitation, and reconstruction on different themes.
· Expat assignment: Worked in Türkiye for partner identification, due diligence and contracting.
Participated with the global team in the development of a multi-country project valued at 7 million euros, spanning across Ethiopia, Pakistan, and Kenya. So far, I have effectively generated new opportunities and sustained a steady income for our business pursuits around 8 million GBP. I have displayed exceptional leadership skills in mapping and gathering intelligence on funding prospects, establishing partnerships with diverse stakeholders, including INGOs, contractors, private sector entities, government institutions, and major donors such as WB, FCDO, EuropeAid/EIDHR, MFA Netherlands, and USAID. My astute support in identifying and pursuing restricted and unrestricted funding opportunities has been crucial in crafting high-quality concept notes, expressions of interest, and proposals that consistently meet donor standards. Moreover, my collaborative efforts with partners have proven to be instrumental in successfully mobilizing resources for education consortium under Education Cannot Wait. In addition, my expertise in program design and development through magenta process comprising of different stages from identification and capture planning to proposal planning, proposal development, pre-teaming agreements, contract negotiations, and implementation, has significantly contributed to program growth and success.
I was a member of the Global Grants Acquisition team, which operates from Germany. My primary responsibility was to oversee the grant identification, proposal development process, coordinate with sector experts to ensure the proposals are technically sound, integrate different proposal sections seamlessly, and upload them onto online proposal management software. Additionally, I was accountable for ensuring that grant reporting and compliance requirements are met to the highest standards.
I held a pivotal role involving close collaboration with the finance and logistics departments to oversee grant and contract management for projects in Pakistan. This encompassed establishing and maintaining efficient systems and processes, diligently updating the grant tracker, and ensuring the organization's compliance with contractual obligations. Furthermore, I represented MdM on various humanitarian platforms and served as a central point of contact for coordination with government agencies, the Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF), and other stakeholders, including UN agencies. My role focused on enhancing communication, facilitating data sharing, and optimizing the implementation of humanitarian projects. Complying with project cycle guidelines, I was responsible for developing project proposals and effectively managing grants for a diverse range of donors, including AFD, GFFO, GAC (HC), ECHO and DG-INTPA. In close collaboration with the Head of Mission, I contributed to the formulation of the country strategy for the period 2022-23. Additionally, I took charge of coordinating consortiums and donor reporting under ECHO HIP, while also playing a key role in the release of humanitarian snapshots, situational reports (sit-reps), and emergency updates. Managing reporting, cultivating donor relations, and overseeing the expansion of MdM's grant portfolio in Pakistan were also integral aspects of my responsibilities. In my capacity as a Grants Officer, I made substantial contribution to the development of a successful 9-million-euro project for Afghanistan and Pakistan, funded by GFFO. This endeavor involved close collaboration with the global team, and our joint efforts were pivotal in its success.

Conducted comprehensive research among 10 European and Scandinavian countries to identify and map institutional donors. Proposed countries to open new offices of Syria Relief, based on the suitable types and country laws for registration and potential for funding.
Took part in the development of global report of SKT welfare UK – particularly developed report on their projects for Syrian Humanitarian Response in Turkey and Syria.
