• Will act as the Duty Security Officer of the Department during his shift.
• Liaise with Manager Security Operation for the daily security program and carryout routine checks as directed.
• Exercise effective Control/Supervision over his shift and correct deployment of force by taking regular rounds and spot checks.
• Ensure that response to security requirements outside of the daily program and emergencies/incidents is in accordance with the laid down policies, procedures and protocols.
• Responsible for the implementation of SOP’s/Policies & Procedures on daily basis through understanding of the same, providing training to security staff and spot checks.
• Supervise the smooth functioning of Security Control and Maintenance of prescribe documents by physical inspection/examination during the duty shift.
• Advise Administrator on call on Safety & Security issues on as required basis.
• Investigate Incidents, Prepares preliminary and final investigation report with recommendations by inspecting scene of incident and examination of witnesses.
• Will assist the Department Training Coordinator in imparting Training to Security groups under the command.
• Supervise Quality initiatives/CQI projects of Security groups under the command.
• Will go to Security Control and Emergency Room for checking of Log Book, Order and deployment, Weapon and ammunition physical state.
• Ensure Visitor Control and Ushering out procedure during B & C shifts.
• Take over the responsibilities of the Disaster Control officer in any emergency at AKU during the shift till the disaster control team take over.
• Act as Assistant Manager/Manager Security Operations in
• Any other task assigned by the Manager Security Operation/ Director Safety & Security.
