• Providing the Prime Contractor’s primary point of contact on a day-to-day basis for work to be undertaken at specified sites.
• Supervision of sub-contractors including monitoring the number of staff and time on site of contractor personnel
• Ensuring that the construction, refurbishment, installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance testing work proceeds in accordance with:
a. Drawings and specifications provided
b. Health and safety requirements
c. Terms and conditions covered in the sub-contracts let by the Prime Contractor.
• When issues with work arise leading the resolution and escalating where necessary either within GPT or with the contractor
• Support all installation, integration and testing activities.
• Provision of regular progress reports as required by Prime Contractor personnel for senior roles:
a. Coaching and mentoring of Site Supervisors
b. Ensuring that all documentation supplied by sub-contractors is consistent with the ‘as built’ site configuration.
c. Undertaking inspections/audits/site surveys at the request of authorized Prime Contractor personnel.
The SI is responsible for the following actions notwithstanding any additional duties allocated by the Project Manager, SCIDA or nominated Deputy in his absence.
Act as GPT on-site Point of Contact (POC) between GPT Engineering and the Sub-Contractor in consultation with the GPT PM.
Check the project Configuration Item Data List (CIDL) to ensure that the Sub-Contractor does not deviate from the Approved Installation/Construction Drawings.
Ensure that the Sub-Contractor has the correct equipment to carry out the required work; this is to include OSP, ISP, and H&S etc.
Raise any engineering issues with the Engineering Department (SCIDA, IDE & SDE) and prevent any changes happening on site until approval has been given.
Whilst on site the Project Officer is to ensure that the PC &SC and site visitors adhere to all H&S regulations and that he advises t
1. OSP Works supervision in excavation, cable and duct laying, cable blowing. Installing manholes, hand holes, marker post installation, restoration and related civil works
2. Joint survey of site with client & subcontractors for base line drawing and implementation.
3. Supervision of sub-contractors including monitoring the number of staff and time on site of contractor personnel.
4. Ensuring that the construction, refurbishment, installation, commissioning, integration and acceptance testing work proceeds in accordance with:
a. Drawings and specifications provided
b. Health and safety requirements
5. Coordination with JP inspectors and Subcontractors for construction activities.
6. Daily reporting to Ring Managers.
7. Site survey for Red Line Drawing and As Built Drawing.
8. Site Inspection with JP and Subcontractor for PAT (Preliminary Acceptance Test).
9. Correcting Site Discrepancy Report (SDR).
1. Responsible for Site survey, stationing and mobilization.
2. Responsible for any changing in the plan and co-ordinate with the main contractor of STC and Site Inspector.
3. Responsible for the laying of 4 Ducts (110mmn) in STC trench.
4. Responsible for the laying of Sub-Ducts (50mm) in STC trench.
5. Installation of Type a Main Holes, Mini Main Holes and single & double cover Hand Holes & roof shooting in all types of STC ducts, which is approved from STC standard.
6. Installation of cable pulling (BSW, 20, 50, 100 & 200 pairs).
7. Installation of Optical Fiber Cable Pulling (2, 4, 12, 48, 96, 144).
8. Making RFS of Feeder, Civil, FTTH and Cable Pulling Projects.
9. Making redline copies of all plans according to work.
10. Coordination with contractor & sub-contractors.
11. GPS coordination’s of FTB, ODP, OSB & FDT (FDT 105, FDT 182, and FDT 184, FDT 156).
12. Responsible for the complete FTTH Projects Civil, Cable Blowing and installation of Steel U Guard, FTB, OSB (1. FDT 105. 2. FDT 156. 3. FDT 182. 4 FDT 184) and also responsible for the Feeder Line of all above projects of FTTH.
13. Responsible for the Daily report to Project Manager and Main Contractor of STC.
