Handled melting operation of 7, 10 and 12 ton capacity induction furnace.
Selecting the best blend of steel scrap to make special steel grades i.e. Grade 40/60, SUP 9, Angle and T-Iron.
Control entire process and achieve the production target as per plan.
Provide technical assistance on Spectroscopy and destructive testing (Tensile/Bend) of bars using UTM according to
ASTM standards.
Working to solve problems arising during the process or with the finished product such as Continuous casting billet, open mold billet and bars.
Coordinating all shop teams (production, Mechanical, Electrical, refractory & CCM).
Stayed knowledgeable of melting and recommended changes to effect continual improvement in the production process.
Handling melting operation of 12 ton and 15 ton induction furnace.
• Preparation of heat making of low alloy steel i.e. G-40/60 by blending different types of scrap.
• Coordination with the Continuous casting plant dept. for the smooth running of process.
• Coordination with the furnace foreman for maintaining sequence of heats.
• Monitored refractory dismantling and furnace lining of induction furnace.
• Maintaining of Quality during the production process.
• Making the process efficient for achieving the target of getting maximum recovery of Ferro alloys.
• Supervision of continuous casting plant.
