Key Responsibilities: Developing country logistics strategy for the mission, Develop a medium-to-long term Supply Chain plan for the Area Office - including identifying future procurement needs, optimizing fleet, and warehouse / inventory management. Producing high quality and timely logistics contributions to "proposals" and reports for funding bodies. Laying down logistical standards across the mission, in accordance with ACF guidelines, providing leadership and optimizing the organization of logistics at mission level. Since natural disaster struck the region, Plan International has been on the ground working to ensure children are protected, have access to clean water and sanitation facilities, and are quickly able to continue their education. As Logistics & Procurement Specialist, managed Procurement & Logistics for Plan International Mozambique during IDIA emergency response. Proactively engaged in budgeting to feed into budget and proposal development. Coordinated supply chain planning (plan, source, procure, transport, store and dispatch), ensuring necessary authorizations are secured where required. Managed supplies and ensure stock reception, storage and dispatch controls are in place and effectively used, monitored supplies reaching end users in an efficient, accountable and cost-effective manner. Undertook monitoring visits to ensure proper and effective project implementation by Plan & partner staff. Formulated recommendations on strategic and tactical planning of logistics, and interacted with both operational and programme colleagues on the effective utilization of resources. · Asset Management: Ensured that all Plan International assets are properly recorded, handled and kept record of asset movements within project offices and proper safeguarding the assets.
· Prepared and implemented asset maintenance program and prepare an updated asset inventory and submitted report to Country Office; Conducted regular physical count of plan assets; Prepared list of redundant items till disposal of assets keeping the approved guidelines are adhered.
· General Administration: Arranged meetings for national/international staff and visitors; ensured international staff security briefing on arrivals and safe accommodation and travel during their stay; Allocated vehicles as per requests on daily basis, and consolidated weekly travel plans for smooth functioning, ensured that all Plan vehicles are fully equipped as per SOP’s; Tracked and reconciled vehicle running reports, with subsidiary records, i.e. log-books, maintenance reports and fuel bills.

• Organization and oversight of cash management process, including liquidity management, recommendation of imprest level, risk management, bank relationship; timely accounting and reconciliation of all transactions, security for cash assets on site
• Perform administrative duties to assist the Country Project Director (CPD) in day-to-day management of the project and maintain update records of the project budget for expenditure and revisions in consultation with the Country Project Director
