Serving as Program Officer, Human Health (HH) at DAI LLC Pakistan to support the coordination of activities pertaining to Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)/ Antimicrobial Use (AMU) in Human Health for the Fleming Fund Country Grant project. Support and assist in the implementation of HH AMR activities for the Fleming Fund Country Grant. Serving as DAI LLC AMR coordinator assistance and liaison with the technical staff within the MoNHSR&C (Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination), the National Institute of Health (NIH), and the provincial health departments and collaboration with animal and environment health counter parts. Aid the technical staff within the NIH AMR surveillance unit so that the unit can support the national AMR committee in establishing a functional One Health and AMR/AMU TWG. Provide support to conduct relevant TWG meetings, helps in meeting minute writing and document findings and recommendations from the project activities with the MoNHSR&C. Work closely with other government and non-governmental stakeholders to collaborate for the planning and implementation of HH AMR/AMU activities. Monitor the progress of activities conducted in collaboration with the consortium partners and government of Pakistan as stipulated by the workplan. Organize and conduct the advocacy Symposium on AMR and AMU. Developing AMR advocacy materials such as policy brief and fact sheets for different stakeholder as needed and obtaining the feedback from the NIH technical staff, including senior management. Collaborate with government counterparts to develop manuscript for publication as needed. Preparation and review of project reports and documents. Planning the annual work plan (technical and financial), implementation, and monitoring through quarterly program review meetings using result-based monitoring. Development of partnerships and business development opportunities. Representing the Fleming Fund to national and international counterparts through advocacy, seminars, and technical working groups.

Key responsibilities:
Planning of community / clinical programs in consultation with related stake holders to achieve objectives defined in program/project documents.
Program Development and Implementation: Develop evidence based, sustainable, replicable and geographically appropriate health program interventions
Build sustainable regional capacity for execution of behavior change communication (BCC) programs
Extend technical support in the development review and or implementation of quality assured community based health care services offered by medical and dental staff at Basic Health Centers and outreach areas. The thematic programs include Nutrition, Reproductive Health Care, Women Health, Child Health, School Health, Health Youth Initiative, Adult Health, Infection Prevention and Control, Communicable Disease Prevention and Mental Health, Early Childhood Development Program and Health Promoting Model.
 Extend technical support for development, review and or implementation of quality assured clinical program services being offered by medical, surgical, radiology, laboratory and dental staff at Comprehensive Health Care Centers such as Extended Family health Centers, Medical Centers and PPP facilities (such as RHCs, Taluka and Civil Hospital)
 Develop health promotion and BCC material for public awareness in collaboration with communication department.
 Facilitate regions/projects in organizing capacity building activities for health Care Providers (LHVs, CHNs, RNs, MOs, CHWs, paramedical staff, field supervisors and managers) and community volunteers on various programs.
Develop cost effective, alternative models of service delivery
Build skill sets of the volunteers to enable them to support the health interventions at various levels of health service delivery.
Monitoring / Coordination: Assist senior management in monitoring the community/clinical programs (Medical) activities and will timely inform Senior Manager about how the programs are tracking, any issues which come up which might affect the program outcomes or their delivery date, any budget implications etc.
 Ensure integration of health promotion and disease prevention initiatives at community and clinical programs.
 Strengthen managed referral care model within AKHS, P to ensure the appropriate utilization within various level of health services.
  Ensure implementation of continuous quality improvement concept to the community and clinical programs of AKHS,P through capacity building and team building.
Controlling: Assist Senior Management in providing support in the on-going review and improvement of programs projects, reporting etc.
  Ensuring timely achievement of program objectives, effective utilization of resources, personal safety, safety of others and other’s work performance (if applicable).
 Responsible for ensuring compliance to AKHS, P AKDN/AKF and donor policies.

Key responsibilities:
• Assumes main responsibilities for the ICRC Diabetes Project across the Country independently, including planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation.
• In charge of written reporting
• Field and desk monitoring of project implementation
• Coordinate research activities related to the Diabetes Project and other health projects
• Coordinate data collection and training activities
• Assign tasks to project team staff and coordinate activities as per project priorities
• Actively identify crucial feedback in order to react to shortcomings and grasp opportunities
• In charge of regular team meetings, assures appropriate information flow from the superiors to the team and from the team to the superiors
• Contribute to development of project technical proposals
• To provide technical and administrative support on broader health unit activities including PHC and hospitals
• Liaison with key stakeholders (including Government Officials) across Pakistan

• Verify the financial report and coordinate with relevant units in case of any variance
• Analyze and verify the program and financial data/cross verify data with each other
• Conduct frequent audit/spot checks for ongoing activities and events
• Ensure result based management and maintain log frame to ensure things are on track
• Continued monitoring of changes in health policy which may affect project implementation
• Prepare and submit periodic progress report for donors and parent organization as per their requirement
• Monitoring and evaluation of the project activities
• To monitor the performance of the staff involved in the project

• To undertake NCD policy analysis in Pakistan
• To landscape the NCDs policies and their implementation by reviewing the national and provincial guidelines
• To explore the existing policies in Pakistan (if any) and their level of implementation particularly related to 3 commercial determinants of NCDs (Salt, sugar and transfat)
• Conduct key informant interviews for relevant information
• To compare and contrast findings with 6 countries
