• Leading a team of five people running the operations of finance department of the company. I’m also the focal point for all bank dealings
• Looking after treasury management and monitoring through funds and cash flow positions, I determine the current and future cash flow needs based on which investment decisions are made
• Make sure reconciliations of inter-segment, inter-company and bank accounts are to be done timely so that any discrepancies can identified & corrected.
• Verifying payables including claims, refunds, vendors and commissions for accuracy and correctness of transactions as well as monitoring all receipts including premium, salvage and inward commissions. Moreover, ensured all remittances to foreign vendors were made with relevant regulatory approvals
• Main regular banking relationships for arrangement of funds and managing Cash Flows.
• Ensure all requirements and formalities of financing facilities to the banks are fulfilled.
• Assist head of Department in preparation of in financial reporting in accordance with regulatory framework.
• Liaison with both internal & external auditors for assistance in audit activities
• Ensure timely banking transactions and payments for the smooth functioning of business operations. This includes liaison with banks for matters related to the treasury function.
