Specific responsibilities included planning & execution of anti-terrorist/anti-smuggling operations involving multinational ships and aircraft at geographical diversified locations, preparing and presenting concept of operations to higher commanders and multinational audience, engaging regional nations for support of coalition operations, planning and executing visits of the Commander/ships to various regional countries, providing Legal Advice to the Commander and ships engaged in anti-terrorism and anti-smuggling operations and managing Public Relation activities.

Adviser to the Director of Signals (Senior-most Executive responsible for all communication activities in Pakistan Navy) on all aspects naval communications. Notable functions included induction of communication/cryptographic equipment (feasibility study, initial budgetary proposals, contract negotiations, trials and final acceptance), Navy-wide distribution/management of communication/ cryptographic equipment and frequency planning/management. Successfully managed projects included determining satellite bandwidth requirement for entire Pakistan Navy during the development phase of PAKSAT-1R and yearly phase-wise radio/cryptographic equipment replacement program for the entire Navy.
