Working as a research consultant for the climate sections as part of a Feasibility Study for Social Protection for Health and Climate Resilience in Pakistan funded by KfW Development Bank
Provided technical assistance for developing grant-based and concessional finance-based project proposals, centered around climate adaptative urban forestry.Developed a scoping study to assess the viability of generating carbon credits from urban forestry projects. Conducted comprehensive analysis, including project scope, carbon sequestration potential, and financial modeling, to evaluate feasibility and sustainability.
As a Policy Officer, I collaborated with FSC's external stakeholders, mostly certification bodies and certificate holder companies to enable them to implement FSC standard requirements within their supply chain, and internal operation. These stakeholders also include FSC's potential clients. In this role, I managed technical questions and coordinated with my team on activities related to the development, maintenance, review, and consistent interpretation of normative FSC documents. I also assist my team in the implementation of normative FSC documents (e.g., supporting administration and handling of information requests from stakeholders such as Certification Bodies).With my team, I also coordinated and managed activities related to the development, maintenance, review, and implementation of FSC risk assessments, and FSC tasks force for the development of national self-assessments as part of the implementation of the core labor requirements. I am currently working with my team to update National Risk Assessment procedures to create a more robust system of traceability and verification for Controlled Wood.
Working as part of the Disaster Risk Management team on the Pakistan Climate Change Resilience Platform, SAR Climate Action Plan, and Climate co-Benefits, I was responsible for tailoring Bank's project components to mainstream climate adaptation and mitigation. In this regard, I was responsible for all the background analytical work that may be required as input. I also supported my team in liaising with technical sectors (urban, agriculture, water, education, energy, etc.) to maximize climate change resilience associated with projects and activities in the development phase and propose climate mainstreaming measures where necessary. In addition to that, I also provided technical and administrative support as required, including writing briefs, preparing outreach material, setting up clinics or seminars, providing research inputs, communications support, and other tasks required for the team as needed.
As a Young Development Fellow working at the Ministry of Planning Development and Reform, I delivered on the following project related tasks:-- Drafted environmental and climate change section of new 5-Year Plan and Yearly Plan. - Drafted Policy paper on climate financing for proposed 10 billion tree project- PC1 form on gender-inclusive rural resilience and participatory environmental management.- Critical analysis of PC1 forms on various projects and provide comments related to Climate Change and Environment aspects of that particular project.

Serving in the capacity of Focal Person-Operation for the Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN)
- facilitated coordination and provided support to Country project managers of Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India and Indonesia.

I carried out research on Climate Finance readiness and further analyzed partnership opportunities with corporate companies, foundations and other prospective organizations. I worked on cutting edge topics dealing with legal modalities of GCF accreditation, Monitoring Reporting and Verification system for climate finance and private sector readiness.
Additionally serving as focal person for UNDP project called Climate Public Expenditure and Institutional Review (CPEIR), I assisted in the organization, management, monitoring of activities pertaining to the project
I was also responsible for the preparation and logistics of specific key stakeholder meetings and events related to both CPEIR project and LEAD programmatic group of Climate Finance Readiness (CFR).
I contributed to the preparation and drafting of partnership proposals, grant applications, agreements and progress reports.
Was responsible for designing and conducting a research study on Participatory Urban Management through analyzing trends and assessing the potential of kitchen waste composting among the residents of Islamabad.
The internship involved surveying of 120 households through one-on-one interview which were conducted using a carefully designed questionnaire. Additionally the research also looked into the trends of using/selling organic manure among plant nurseries in Islamabad.
