Joined Qarshi Industries as Assistant Brand Manager and was promoted as Deputy Brand Manager in 2009. As Deputy Brand Manager my job responsibilities included:
• To develop marketing and promotional plans for Springley Mineral Water.
• Effective and optimum use of the allotted marketing budget for the quarter and annum.
• Planning and execution of brand activation and in-store promotional activities at Modern Trade (Makro, Metro, Hyper Star) & Key Accounts.
• To develop trade offers and sales promotions in alliance with Modern Trade sales team, to boost the sales.
• Strategic evaluation and execution of promotional plans
• Planning, execution and monitoring of Corporate Marketing Activities
• Overall coordination with other departments for the development of New Products from idea generation to launch of products.
Selected Contributions include:
• Assisted in the development of Qarshi’s new products i.e. Jam-e-Shirin Sugar Free, Jam-e-Shirin Variants, Johar Joshanda Variants, Jam-e-Shirin Sachet, Fruit Juice Based Carbonated Soft Drinks and Garden’s Powder Drinks.
• Successfully developed and soft launched Qarshi Farm Products (Jams, Marmalade, Preserves, Honey and Ketchup)
• Sales of assigned brands boosted up to 50% due to aggressive marketing activities and brand activation plans.
• Managed and monitored CLTs, sub serve focus groups and observational studies through research agencies for Qarshi new products.
