• Act as WFP representative at assigned flour mill and will assume responsibility of food and non-food items received at WFP contracted Flour Mills.
• Support receipt/dispatch commodities including transshipment (truck to truck) against official approved documentation (e.g. waybills and/or delivery notes) ensuring accuracy in physical count of commodities (Wheat & Wheat Flour) including the quality in compliance (random weight checks, separation of any spoiled commodity, reconditioning of underweight bags etc.) with the established standards.
• Prepare and verify warehouse and transport documents, and maintain confidential files and accurate warehouse transaction records, to ensure immediate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements.
• Perform daily inspections and prepare reports on the quantity and quality of the commodities received/dispatched and handled, and refer to the supervisor for appropriate action.
• Monitor condition of the mill's warehouse and commodities and take appropriate actions to support efficient warehouse space utilization and well-organized commodity storage following WFP warehouse standards.
• Monitors the milling progress and informs Logistics Operations at the local/provincial level about wheat flour quantities transformed and stocks ready for uplift on daily basis.
• Monitors Q&Q responsibilities and should ensure that Q&Q functions are performed as per advised by the compliance unit from time to time. To ensure mills are using calibrated Micro Feeder by qualified staff.
• Also monitor the quantity of Premix being used. Ensure random check on moisture discrepancies and the weight of the Wheat Flour bags. Ensure the collection of wheat flour samples for the laboratory test as per WFP sampling SOP.
• Prepare and disseminate Daily Activity Report and Daily Stock Movement Report.
• Deputed as dedicated tally for a particular flour mill to supervise and execute policies, instructions and procedures of WFP onto respective mills.
• Assist CO in milling responsibilities nationwide including assistance in assessment of flour mills.
• Perform lifting / dispatches of wheat / X Works and other such duties when assigned from time to time.
• Monitor and execute WFP CO Q n Q standards / policy over mills and ensure quality flour rolls out of flour mill.
• Ensure preparation, accountability and delivery of documents to all concerned with in stipulated time frame.
• Generate reports of various kinds (DSMR, moisture, dispatch, OT, etc) from time to time.
• Keep stock / accountability of wheat grain and flour at all times ensuring receipts and dispatches as per WFP methodology.
• Keeping close monitoring over mills for Quality improvement timeliness and reporting progress to CO.
• Assist other Log Units in CO when called upon to assist.
• Mobilize the people in rural area of the city.
• Try to solve their basic problems with their participation.
