To manage SQ, internal control, ambience, customer services and other operational issues of 29 branches Managing a team of 29 Branch services Managers & 130 + TSO-Tellers/Operations of entire Karachi City Region ensuring a delivery of quality service to external and internal customers. Ensuring implementation of Branch Operations Manual guidelines in accordance with strong control and compliance structure within the branches of the region.Regular visits to the branches in order to ascertain the progress on day to day operational issues and bottlenecks.Ensuring Branches achieve a minimum satisfactory rating in SBP Inspections/Internal & external Audits. Ensuring that branch operational activities are carried out strictly in accordance with the laid down procedures/policies and SBP guidelines. Ensuring strict adherence to policy for overnight Cash Holding Limits (CIH) Ratio at branches.Review of system reports and controls on a regular basis, identifying bottlenecks and control weaknesses with a view to achieving accuracy by suggesting corrective actions to the Operations Managers.Identifying and addressing the training needs of the branch service staff. Active contribution towards development of Operations Manual, process re-engineering, standardization aligned with best industry practices and regulatory requirement. Active management of staffing capacity, planning and recruitment. Subsequently lead, motivate, train and coach all Operational staff to ensure that their technical & core competencies are developed to full potential.Entire Expenses approvals at branches under schedule of Financial Power
Job Assignment:
i. Monitor the issues highlighted in ITAM, MC, MSC, BAC wherein high risk issues are identify from various sources like SBP Inspection, Internal
Audit, and External Audit etc. Further, issues are analyze to ascertain the type of risk associated, workout issue risk score, identified prime &
interdependency group responsible for Compliance & on monthly basis represent Business Areas Karachi in Management Committee Meeting for
discussion & resolution.
ii. On behalf of Business Areas Karachi make whole plan, enforce & monitor the entire coordination process for State Bank of Pakistan's Inspection
in coordination with CCG and in order to provide the all their required information/data within stipulated time period.
iii. Analysis & review the SBP annexures and implement post compliance of violations of PR on which penalties imposed by State Bank of Pakistan
& prepare strong points of contest in consultation with CCG on the annexures made by SBP during branches inspections.
iv. To ensure proper correspondence and relationship management with all business areas within the Banks and queries by / to them and issue
Different circulars on Compliance/ KYC/ Due Diligence etc. to ensure adherence to prudential regulations, policies and procedures.
v. Being a central point of contact for ROMs and Karachi Branches ensure implementation of CDD, AML/ CFT regime, Sanctions related policies and
Procedures to be documented and disseminated to business in consultation with CCG.
vi. Resolve the issues related to CDD/EDD, KYC/AML/CFT etc. highlighted during internal, external or regulatory reviews in coordination with field
and Regional Operation Managers.
vii. Ensure compliance of Regulations by branches under assigned domain.
viii. Ensure acceptable ratings of all branches in SBP Surprise visits/Annual Inspections.
ix. Ensure that assigned Business Area branches respond to SBP/IAD/IC comments / observations timely.
x. Ensure compliance of Policies and SOPs at assigned branches.
xi. Compile and respond to IAD/IC in the given timelines.
xii. Review Internal/ External Audit and SBP inspection reports for prompt closure of observations.
xiii. Take effective steps toward ensuring non-recurrence of IAD/IC/SBP observations.
xiv. Take effective steps toward ensuring non-recurrence of observations.
xv. Timely submission of compliance reports to IAD/IC and SBP Inspectors.
xvi. Attend Exit Meetings of Compliance and Internal Audit Teams.
