• Accounts Payable (AP) – Managing all types of accounts payable matters such as purchase invoices, payments, and preparing debit notes
• Accounts Receivable (AR) – Maintaining all types of accounts receivables matters like sales invoices, receipts and credit notes
• General Ledger (GL) - Entering all type of industry Expenses, provisions and rectifications of errors.
• Fixed Assets (FA) - Adjustments and capitalization of fixed assets.
• Assisting In preparation of cash budgets, accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to Access accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Making supplier's payment projection sheet on MS excel and forward it to HO to relevant authority to ensure payments to parties on time.
• Preparing & providing data to Internal Auditors, External Auditors, Income tax & Sales Tax Auditors and clear their observations etc.
• Arrange accounts statements from Vendors and customers to reconcile the closing balances and resolve the differences at both ends.
• Making bank reconciliations
• Making intercompany reconciliation on each monthly closing.
During my stay at the above mentioned firm, I gained experience in the field of External and internal audit, accountancy and corporate affairs. I was part of team which perform following tasks:
• Management representation: Typical matters include in the letter are: 1) Confirmation that board believes the co to be a going concern, 2) Confirmation that all contingent liabilities have been disclosed in the FS, 3) Confirmation that management have full filed their responsibilities to prepare accurate FS, 4) Confirmation that board believes that all estimates made in preparation of FS are accurate.
• Performing the test of control (i.e, inspection of payment for purchase invoices to verify the authorization) to check that audit client’s internal control systems operates effectively.
• Performing substantive procedures (ie. Tracing amount of purchase invoice in purchase register to check the accuracy of amount) to detect any material misstatements in FS.
• Perform audit procedures on Revenue, Going concern status, Inventory, Receivables, Payables etc.
• Discussions with the clients regarding the various accounting or other issues/ matters
