Almost 22 years experience in nonprofit, humanitarian and rights based participatory development and advocacy. As senior projects manager, I supervise the project managers and field program coordinators for the effective execution of the ongoing projects. This was a regional management position to coordinate, facilitate and monitor all interventions of the EDIP in 7 districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. Responsibilities included coordinating and acting as a central point of contact for the implementing agencies and government departments, managing field coordination and all logistical issues, facilitating meetings, workshops and seminars, facilitating the functioning of the working group on the G-B Education Strategy, consolidating timely progress reports from implementing agency partners and facilitating the development of a Strategic Annual Workplan etc. some achievements include;
1. Timely development of Gilgit-Baltistan Education Strategy GBES.
2. Mobilization of communities and finalization of land donation agreements and construction of girls schools in most remote and rigid areas of Diamir district.
3. Facilitated institutional capacity assessment and development interventions for GB education directorate.
4. Developed effective coordination with implementing partners like AKES, AKBPS, PDCN-IED AKU, NOWPDP and government education department.
5. Facilitated project endline evaluation and GBES dissemination seminars at district and provincial levels.
This was a national management/professional expert position directly reporting to Managing Director. Key responsibilities included preparation of RFPs/Bids, coordination with donors and clients, administrative and logistics management of trainings and field events, training design and delivery, designing and conducting human and institutional capacity development studies and strategies. Designing and leading advocacy and IPC campaigns, coordinating and facilitating print/electronic media campaigns including message and IEC material development. 3. Design and execution of “Malaria Baseline Survey” in Sindh, Balochistan and FATA/KPK.
4. Management of orientation workshops in Lahore, Multan, Quetta and Islamabad on “Ethical Reporting on HIV-AIDS” for print and electronic media representatives for NACP-UNICEF and Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors.
5. Poverty Survey of Benazir Income Support Program executed in District Muzaffargarh as District/Area Coordinator.
6. Designed and conducted calendar trainings (one each quarter) on different subjects i.e. Gender Sensitization, Gender Budgeting, Training of Trainers, PRA and TNA, Project Management Cycle, Grant Management, PME etc.
7. Third Party Validation of Child Stipend Program of Sind Education Reforms Program in all districts of Sind.
8. Development of Trainers Manual on “Punjab Establishment Code and Public Administration” for government of Punjab.
1. Managed “Community Based Rehabilitation of Scrub Forest in Haripur” project funded by UNDP/GEF. Project involved Joint Forest Management, Farm Forestry and Village Land Use Planning approaches along with introduction of fuel efficient stoves.
