• Ensuring the implementation of environmental health and safety goals.
• Ensuring the compliance to PPE’s and site safety rules.
• Conducting safety training, education programs to the workers.
• Conducting induction trainings to the new workers and visitors.
• Investigation of health safety and environment related issues and developing the control measures in coordination with HSE manager.
• Deciding and implementing the measures to keep good housekeeping at site.
• Investigation of occupational illness and developing the control measures to prevent from them in coordination with HSE manager.
• Ensuring that all the activities going on at site are safe and according to the state and international law.
• Ensuring the Permit to work is on site and activity is going on according to permit to work.
• Preparation of job safety analysis.
• Inspection of site before any work activity to evaluate the potential hazards and decide the control measures in coordination with HSE supervisor and HSE manager.
• Establishing priorities and strategies to carry out the work activities safely.
• Monitoring the work activities like crane operations, excavation, movement of heavy equipment, hot work activities work at height and confined space activities.
• Taking the corrective actions if any activity is not in accordance with decided plan.
• Communicating with workers and their representatives (foreman, supervisors) on Health safety and environment issues.
• Deciding the measures to sort out workers issues in coordination with HSE supervisor and HSE manager.
• Preparation of incident, near miss or dangerous occurrence reports.
• Inspection of facilities provided on site and deciding actions for improvement.
• Assisting HSE supervisor and HSE manager to ensure compliance of the Sub contractor safety.
• Taking part in internal and external audits.
• Communicate the findings with HSE supervisor and HSE manager and assist them in planning the improvements actions.
• Inspection of heavy equipment.
• Conducting fire drills.
• First aider.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
• Assisting EHS manager in implementation of health safety and environment policies.
• Conducting occupational health and safety trainings, fire safety trainings, induction trainings and refresher trainings.
• Keeping the records of all the trainings.
• Inspection of site prior to any work activity to find out the potential hazards and deciding the prevention measures to prevent from any incident.
• Conducting awareness programs and campaigns about the hazards of chemicals and their safe usage.
• Conducting toolbox talk.
• Ensuring that all the workers are using mandatory PPE’s and Special PPE’s for specific job.
• Preparation and ensuring the implementation of job safety analysis.
• Ensuring that the work is going on according to the work permit requirements.
• Monitoring the basic facilities in refinery and deciding actions for the improvement with the coordination of HSE manager.
• Developing and implementing the effective communication methods to understand the workforce concerns and developing the plans with HSE manager to mitigate their concerns.
• Participation in monthly HSE meetings to evaluate the monthly performance of the HSE team.
• Ensuring the compliance with state and international laws of Health safety and environment.
• Taking part in Internal and External audits.
• Assisting HSE manager to ensure the compliance of contractor safety.
• Assisting HSE manager in Risk assessment and deciding control measures.
• Reviewing the HSE policy and risk assessment if any accident, incident or near miss happens or if there is any change in process change, machinery change or equipment change.
• Ensuring the workers, plant, machine and equipment safety.
• Ensuring that the process is safe and according to international health safety and environment standards.
