1. Perform full-charge bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Xero, using Hub doc and Dext for bills & invoice posting.
2. Manage and run payroll on a bi-weekly & semi-monthly basis using payroll software Wagepoint and Inclusion.
3. Prepare month-ends, quarter-ends, year-ends, and GST returns and follow-ups on A/P and A/R as well.
4. Categorize and reconcile all the banks & credit cards.
5. Prepare income tax returns for corporate sectors (T2) using compilation software such as Caseware and Countable, then file the Tax returns on Protax and TaxCycle accordingly.
6. Perform ad hoc tasks such as calling CRA and inclusion to resolve the issues.
Joined A.H Mirza as Manager Tax & Corporate, handling all tax and corporate matters of all clients (Corporate & Individuals) of the company and managing a wide portfolio of more than
250 individuals and about 35 – 40 corporate clients and reporting directly to the directors and partners of the company. My key responsibilities & roles at A.H Mirza were:
i. Part of Strategic apex of the company.
ii. Independently running & managing the whole office and staff.
iii. Planning, filing and submission of income tax, sales tax returns.
iv. Maintain monthly and annual compliance of the Companies i.e., filing of Form A & 29 and Withholding Statements as well of annually u/s 149 and biannually u/s 165 1.
v. Manage to do Company formations (Pvt Ltd & AOPs).
vi. Successfully manage to register/ link the clients with relevant bodies i.e., Sales Tax Registration, PRA (Punjab Revenue Authority), IPO (Trademark), PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council).
vii. Managing clients Payroll, balance sheets, cashflows, P&L (Monthly & Annually).
ix. Meeting the statutory reporting deadlines of all cases / clients.
