As the Founder and CEO of Green Impact Movement (GiM), I lead a youth-driven environmental organization dedicated to promoting climate action, biodiversity conservation, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Sindh, Pakistan. I established GiM with a vision to empower local communities and youth to take actionable steps toward environmental sustainability through education, awareness campaigns, and grassroots initiatives.
In my role, I provide strategic direction and overall leadership, overseeing the planning and execution of projects that address pressing environmental issues such as climate change, ecosystem degradation, and community resilience. I have successfully organized awareness sessions, workshops, and rallies, including initiatives like the Climate Change and Biodiversity Awareness Rally and Let’s Aware Larkana campaign, which have engaged local youth and stakeholders in critical conversations about sustainability.
I also spearhead collaborations with national and international organizations, strengthening partnerships to amplify GiM’s impact. My efforts include designing and implementing community-based projects, promoting nature-based solutions, and integrating climate resilience strategies to address challenges such as extreme weather, resource management, and biodiversity loss. Additionally, I focus on capacity building by empowering youth to actively participate in climate action and environmental stewardship.
Under my leadership, GiM has emerged as a platform for innovative solutions, youth advocacy, and meaningful dialogue, playing a pivotal role in creating awareness and driving tangible environmental change across Sindh.
As a GIS Assistant at the University of Sindh, I have been actively engaged in applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support environmental research and spatial analysis. My work involves conducting Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) assessments, NDVI mapping to monitor vegetation health, and Land Surface Temperature (LST) analysis to evaluate urban heat island effects and climate variability. I have utilized trending GIS techniques and advanced tools for data visualization, spatial modeling, and environmental monitoring, contributing to projects that assess climate change impacts in Sindh.
Additionally, I have worked on climate modeling, integrating GIS-based spatial data with predictive models to analyze long-term climate patterns and trends. This has helped enhance research outcomes related to resource management and climate variability. I also assist faculty and researchers by preparing detailed GIS-based reports, maps, and visual representations, providing critical insights for decision-making and environmental planning. My role has strengthened my proficiency in spatial analysis, environmental data interpretation, and climate-related studies, positioning me to address complex environmental challenges effectively.
