Experienced QHSE professional, having more than 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing QHSE programs. Skilled in risk assessments, quality based FMEA, regulatory compliance, incident and emergency management. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve QHSE goals and improve workplace culture. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with a track record of reducing incidents and maintaining adherence to the industry standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES - IMS:
• To develop, upgrade and implement Integrated Management System in line with international Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), Legislative & Customer Requirements.
• To coordinate with concerned departments and develop strategies for QHSE management, renewable energy projects, GHG emission reduction plans, chemical management, waste management, Water recycling and sustainability.
• To ensure that processes and procedures are adequate to meet organizational objectives, Customer COCs and regulatory requirements.
• To support concerned departments in Hazard identification, Risk Assessment and determining the Controls (HIRAC) and Process FMEA.
• To coordinate/assist HSE regulatory bodies, client representatives and relevant authorities as & when necessary for audits, data recording and remedial actions.
• To support HODs in performing Training Needs Assessment and arrange training sessions accordingly.
• To define IMS KPIs and Monitoring Performance in terms of Leading & Lagging Indicators.
• To perform compliance audits against company procedures and IMS requirements (ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, SA 8000, WRAP, C-TPAT, SCAN)
RESPONSIBILITIES – CQI:
• To handle customer complaints, perform RCA and develop CAPA accordingly.
• To coordinate with the unit quality heads for the implementation of the CAPA.
• To maintain organizational database of QC operations and identify grey areas through data analysis.
• To develop quality circles and establish strategies to improve efficiency and profitability in the organization, as well as put out higher quality goods.
• To perform products (Ready to Ship) quality audits as per AQL 2.5.
• Perform new product’s manufacturing studies and develop process control specifications for subsequent production.
• Review existing process control specifications to ensure that they are in accordance with changes in product specifications, process and quality improvement.
• Identify the need and to develop the jigs and fixtures and/or support machinery for in-process and final inspection and for productivity improvement at their respective areas and to have effective control of jigs and fixture.
• Identify and improve process and quality inefficiency through work studies, value engineering, industrial engineering techniques and automation.
• Perform and document the method and time studies for each product in order to determine individual process cycles and optimum manufacturing resources required.
• Ensure that only calibrated equipment and jig & fixtures are used within the department/ section for the purpose of product realization and to ensure that these are calibrated on time according to procedure.
• Ensure that all non-conforming products are dis-positioned according to defined procedure concerning non-conforming products.
• Perform quality troubleshooting along with Mfg. Engineer based on information received from compiled rejection reports and recommend preventive measures
• Supervise and train staff in the performance of their duties.
• Documentation of Work Instructions for various processes of all Mfg. sections in accordance with QMS
COMPLIANCE
• Develop, Implement and maintain organizational Social Compliance and QHSE Policy.
• Support in up-gradation, development and implementation of integrated management system & social compliance program.
• Support other employees to develop department specific procedures under the PIMS structure.
• Remain up to date on applicable laws, other regulations and customer expectations.
• Effectively communicate compliance requirements regarding organizational procedures, local legislations and customer expectations.
• Determine internal audit scope and develop the annual plan.
• Execute internal audits to evaluate organizational IMS and social compliance programs.
• Prepare reports based on audit results and share non-conformities to concerned stakeholders for rectification actions and conduct follow-up audits to evaluate closure status of highlighted non-conformities.
• Ensure that all HSE processes and procedures are implemented and standardized.
• Conduct HSE inspections to evaluate compliance with HSE procedures and communicate issues to concerned authorities for rectification actions.
• Carry out technical and HSE evaluation of sub-contractors.
Product Development
• Coordinate with the sales team to determine customer needs and expectations for product.
• Provide conceptual solutions for both new and developed products.
• Identify product manufacturing processes and material requirements.
• Support Director Product Development with innovative methods for product manufacturing.
• Do search on specifications of materials used during product development and set a standard all over the company.
• Stay up to date on current industry trends regarding the latest machinery, tooling and technology.
• Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
• Support sales team to perform initial cost estimation for new products keeping in view quality standards and customer expectations.
• Develop and implement proactive solutions and cost-cutting measures.
• Supervise product development team to ensure timely completion and delivery of product prototypes.
• Communicate project expected timeline and budgetary requirements to other stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• To identify the safety engineering scope of work from ITB and suitable Project HSE deliverable & requirements
• To prepare and implement HSE Business Plan in lines with company goals and strategy.
• To develop & organize HSE core team members & coordinate all HSE work activities with PM/SM for effective
HR management.
• To asses & eliminate risks/hazards through implementation of HSE standards and ensure safe workplace.
• To coordinate/assist HSE regulatory bodies, client representatives and relevant authorities as & when necessary for audits, data recording and remedial actions.
• To prepare, implement and monitor approved HSE plan for the sub-contracted scope of work and ensure uniformity of standards.
• To ensure effective communication and compliance of procedural and legislative requirements.
• To perform HSE training need analysis for Employees and ensure to conduct HSE training sessions accordingly.
• Responsible for technical/HSE evaluation of subcontractors/suppliers as per company procedures.
• To ensure that all IMS records are maintained as per the written procedure.
• To develop IMS KPIs and Monitoring HSE Performance in terms of Leading & Lagging Indicators.
• Responsible to conduct site safety inspections, HSE Audits and ensure closure of NCRs.
• Accountable to create a safe working environment, manage risks and ensure implementation of QHSE Policy
• Develop EHS department objectives and maintain progress.
• Continuously review and improve Environment, Health and Safety Management System to enhance its effectiveness and revise/develop EHS procedures accordingly.
• Participate in detailed Incident/Accident Investigations, Root Cause Analysis and define CAPA.
• Ensure HIRAC and other Safety Assessments to support effective Environment, Health and Safety Management System.
• Maintain the Emergency Response Team.
• Ensure that drill plan is developed and drill conducted executed in accordance with the planning.
• Ensure the compliance of applicable Local & International Laws and Regulations.
• Conduct EHS trainings at Sheikhupura plant for ongoing awareness.
• Ensure the compliance of Personal Protective Equipments before the start of any task.
• Visit the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish EHS presence and provide support.
• Conduct EHS Meetings at quarterly basis.
• To participate in Internal Audits of EHS at Sheikhupura Plant.
• Review progress of the conducted internal audit and resolve any conflict related to NC’s
• Revise process flow delivered by Sampling Development to make it production-efficient and cost-effective.
• Define production parameters including material consumption, rejection and so on.
• Enter manufacturing process in the computer system.
Verify the cost sheet against the actual consumption of materials in the sample
• Explain complete production design to the Supply Chain and Production Departments.
• Train relevant people on the proper handling of materials.
Identify and adopt new materials and processes to decrease cost and improve quality.
• Supervise Product Development Workshop and complete initial sample of new product.
• Material Requirement Planning and Resource Planning for Product Development.
• Track & Record Labour hours against Development of sample of new product.
• Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the Social Compliance Program and Periodically Visit Facility to Identify Social Compliance Issues and report to CEO
