Community Resilience Officer

The Community Resilience Activity-North (CRA-N) Project is designed to support community level resilience development and conflict prevention activities within the newly merged districts (NMD’s) of Khyber, Kurram, North Waziristan and Orakzai Districts within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Province; CRA-N will pursue a multi-disciplinary and community participatory approach and will work in close coordination with the Government of Pakistan (GoP) at the regional and district level.
As a Community Resilience Officer / OIC District Team Leader - Khyber, i was responsible for the following tasks:
• In close collaboration and coordination with the Regional Team Leader and Senior Management, provide the required leadership and technical oversight to ensure that project resources are applied toward cross-sectoral resilience programming within the target region. Implement and adapt the CRA-North resilience programming strategies at the district level, ensuring that the programming is achieving defined impacts in line with our programming objectives.
• Manage relationships with relevant stakeholders at the district and regional level, including government representatives, community leaders, tribal leaders, religious leaders, youth and Implementing Partners.
• Ensure that there is a clear consultative process between GOP structures and target communities to identify, design and implement grant funded activities that have a clear resilience focused theme; and serve to support the more remote and marginalized communities within the district.
• Ensure the successful implementation of resilience programming activities, inclusive of the identification and procurement of activity related goods and services in collaboration with the projects Resource Management Unit (RMU).
• Develop and maintain/update a clear and comprehensive District Profile, which outlines a thorough understanding of the district’s operating environment; and utilized to inform resilience focused interventions. Use this Profile to monitor and report on the rapidly changing environment and proactively contribute to the project’s overall strategy design and implementation.
• Submit scheduled bi-weekly reports to Senior Management, reflecting progress on the programming activities, and the implementation environment within the district.
• Use the existing Programming Matrix to provide clear weekly updates on resilience activity development, implementation and closure, while also engage in regularly scheduled calls with Senior Management and the donor regarding ongoing progress at the field level.
• Support existing district programming efforts by participating in Learning Workshops and the identification and documentation of success stories, lessons learned and case studies.
• Responsible for the management and care of district-based project assets and facilities. Organize and participate in regularly scheduled Workshops with youth, community elders, tribal & religious leaders to discuss the progress being made with the CRANorth Project, identify challenges and resolve any outstanding issues which would impede the smooth implementation of resilience programming.
• Work with the M&E Department and program team on strengthening the use of M&E data across the program through the use and distribution of M&E reports.
• Coordinate/ Arrange Bi-Weekly Implementation Meeting with Implementing Partner (IPs) to discuss the Progress/Way forward on the next steps
• Submit timely reports to the Senior Management on any issues/challenges faced by the IPs in the implementation of activities.
• Monitor Implementing Partner (IPs) activities as per signed Project Implementation Agreement (PIA)

FIELD OFFICER

responsible for developing the project plan and prepares to take over project implementation management once the
project is awarded.
2. Responsible for the maintenance of project management policies, procedures and practices
3. Work with communities, the Line Departments and other relevant government structures to mobilize local resources
(community contributions and government resources) to implement project activities. Successful implementation should
include on-going consultative processes, and government and community involvement in all phases.
4. Report to Agency Development Officer project implementation difficulties/problems and, as appropriate, suggest

5. Manage project close out processes, to include participation in evaluation of individual projects.

managing and coordinating the payment of monthly bills, overseeing office filing systems, and tracking non-expendable
supplies.
10. Supervise the Field Officers and assign tasks for effective management of the grants idea implementation.
11. Assist and coordination with the M&E team in grants monitoring and evaluation in the field.
12. Resolution of community complaints and conflicts during grant implementation stage.
