1. Ensure effective management of clinical and other ailments at community and facility level
Plan and organize OTP/CMAM activities at designated health and nutrition sites.
Work closely with DoH Health staffs to ensure all aspects of the program understood and appropriate referrals take place to and from the CMAM outreach and well-integrated into the Primary Health Care.
Work closely with the health facility staff (MO/FMO/LHV), and LHWs to ensure all children are screened correctly at health facility/community facilitation and within targeted area.
Ensure all criteria are respected and understood by the team and community groups, including; admission, discharge and transfer to and from the community or other source.
Ensure correct clinical diagnosis at the time of anthropometric assessment so that the SAM patient receives appropriate treatment and enrollment-based OTP admission criteria.
Timely identification of complications, non-responder, and referrals to the NSC and strong follow up until discharge for re-admission in OTP.
Ensure adequate availability of all medical and Therapeutic food supplies and ensure stock is pre-positioned as planned by discussing with Nutrition Officer and logistics.
Follow-up and provide feedback to the health facility charge and nutrition coordinator on the amount and quality of the treatment supplies if it does not comply with specified quality standards.
Regular and strong coordination with PHC/CMAM, NSC and Outreach staff on referral and integrated case management package.
Through liaison with the community groups, provide effective follow up of all cases: particularly tracing of children who are absent from the program, sick children, long stay children, children not gaining weight, and children with social problems etc.
Provide key Health and Nutrition education messages to beneficiaries based the protocol and guidelines
Respond to inquiries regarding the technical aspects of the program admission and discharge whenever necessary at the CMAM sites.
Provide success stories/case studies in the intervention with coordination of Health facility in charge, Nutrition coordinator.
Comply with National CMAM Guideline (including Simplified Protocols) strictly for SAM case management.
2. Supervise medicine administration in OTP activities
Follow and respect the current protocols especially SAM case management or administration i.e. for de-worming, EPI schedule and MNP, IFA / Vitamin A supplements targeting children and PLW with proper documentation.
Ensure that all the nutrition activities linked to health and nutrition education in the protocols
Follow the treatment of the beneficiaries through home visits with support of community groups.
Participate in the follow-up of stock request and consumption.
Achieve ideal MUAC and weight gain for enrolled patients as early as possible.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of the stock distributed through OTP/Outreach activities.
Compile the statistical data with MEAL, NIS or Data Officer (admission, default, cured, absent, death) and draft a report on activities with timely submission to the program.
3. Network and coordinate with the relevant sectors

The e Field Researcher will support the performance monitoring of USAID Development Objective (DO) 5 (Health) activities. USAID Maternal and Child Health (MNCH) flagship program is comprised of five interrelated components: Family Planning/Reproductive Health (FP/RH), Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Health Communication, Health Commodities, and Supply Chain, and Health System Strengthening (HSS). Several national and international public health organizations implement these individual programs. Understand well existing government data management including flow and feedback mechanisms, particularly DHIS, LHW-MIS, CMW-MIS and cLMIS VLMIS. This monitoring assignment will focus on verifying and validating four key activities within DO 5 and provide an independent perspective on DO 5 activity performance. The team will include a health specialist, field researchers, data analysts and other support as necessary. Under the supervision of the field supervisor, the Field Researcher will monitor activities and collect high quality data using the approved instruments, as per the data collection plan. Linking with the USAID GHSC-PSM Project. Responsibilities: Conduct key informant interviews (KIIs) with stakeholders which may include government officials and beneficiaries of the activities. Take comprehensive and high quality notes during interviews and transcribe and translate notes into well written English, in accordance with the required format. Except for Punjab province. A baseline EGRA was conducted in 2014, prior to the start of USAID/Pakistan project interventions. The 2017 midline will provide evidence of progress made in student test scores following the commencement of project activities in 2015.
Each QCO will be responsible for ensuring the standardized administration of the EGRA tools and survey instruments for up to three data collection teams. Data collection will occur throughout Pakistan. Prior to data collection, the QCO will prepare for data collection activities and support training sessions. During data collection, the QCO will largely be responsible for overseeing the implementation of tools and management of activities by locally subcontracted enumerators and field supervisors. The QCO will be responsible for ensuring the standardized administration of the EGRA tools and survey instruments in their assigned districts. This will include the organization of the assessment materials, the security of the materials, the tracking of the enumerators in the field, the liaison with government officials and school personnel, and the submission of the materials to MSI at the end of the assessment fieldwork. Develop detailed technical BoQs and ensure appropriate drawing and design of hardware component, including oversighting technical aspects of emergency WASH response such as quick repair & rehabilitation of water supply system, water distribution networks, water quality, emergency latrine design and excreta disposal.
