Altaf Hussein Soomro is a highly qualified, brilliant, honest and dedicated person having sound health, and pleasant personality analytical approaches and experienced in the development sector. Currently I am working with International rescue Committee -IRCI as Community Mobilization Team Lead at District Ghotki in a Project namely Buidling Disaster Resillience Project (BDRP) in Pakistan. Earlier to this I have worked as District team Leader with Plan International Pakistan in a WASH Project , Behavior Change Communication. Before it I have worked as Project Coordinator with Insaf Network of Pakistan in a project of awareness and Advocacy campaign on Legal Rights . Before it I have worked as Regional Capacity Building Coordinator with Rural Development Policy Institute at Ghotki in a Project namely Child Centered Disaster Risk Management (CCDRM) funded by Plan International Pakistan. I have also worked as Project Manager in Emergency Flood Response Assistance Project at Khairpur funded by Plan International Pakistan, earlier to this I have worked as District Manager in a project CCDRM at District Khairpur and Child Protection Coordinator in Flood Relief Project at Rural Development Policy Institute at Ghotki during Flood 2010. Earlier to this I have also worked with Lead Pakistan as a Deputy Project Manager, SMC Strengthening Pilot Project District Khairpur and in (Democratized Education Management and Ownership) DEMO Project as a Trainer / Social Mobilization Officer and Focal Person (Taluka Office Khairpur). I have also worked with Indus resource center (IRC) in a project Acceleration of Girls Education as Tehsil Community Mobilizer.
Conduct community mobilization activities of the Project under close supervision of the Senior Project Coordinator.
Facilitate Village Disaster Management Committees and Union Council Disaster Management Committees & Community Resource Persons in triggering CLTS/PATS, developing community action plan, with particular focus on school and community activities with women, men and children;
Identify and engage men, women and children in the community to educate and mobilize to achieve the project deliverables at the community level.
Establish contacts with community stakeholders to strengthen capacity of community groups including village organization/community organization, women groups, and children WASH clubs in schools and in communities.
Effectively engage VDMCS & UCDMCs during implementation of project activities as well as for monitoring and ensuring sustainability.
Provide training assistance to and advise community groups including children WASH clubs, women group, VDMCs / UCDMCs project activities; Ensure maximum participation of children, men and women in sub-committees of different thematic programs.
Ensure each committee (VDMC&UCDMC) being formed on the basis of core principles of volunteerism, personal affiliation and association with the community issue/thematic areas, personal commitment and drive to take issues at district level and advocate for rights.
Liaise and work with community groups and project to ensure accountability and best use of project resources;
Conduct regular field visits and report back on monthly basis;ÂÂ
Regular reporting on progress to Senior Project Coordinator.

Conduct training sessions for CRP to develop their capacity to implement community mobilization activities especially on PATS/ CLTS.

To assist National Project Manager identifies and to engage local CSOs in according to detailed activity plan and maintain pleasant, equitable and result oriented relationship with them.
To identify capacity gaps, build capacity of the partner CSOs and provide them assistance & support to accomplish the program objective.
To monitor the program activities relating to the capacity building and suggest improvements wherever these may deem necessary.
To assist and supervise the partner CSOs in capacity building of CBO’s, VOs and CYGs.
To assist National Project Manager develop and maintain healthy relations with the local governments and other relevant Government agencies and seek their cooperation and support in the program activities.
To lead, mentor and provide technical assistance to the partner CSOs when and where required.
To ensure the documentation of all activities is properly maintained at all the levels and made it available when and where required.
To furnish program related reports and ensure the submission of the same in timely manner.
To ensure the visibility of RDPI, Donor(s) and partner organizations according to the guidelines.
To take all necessary steps as advised by the National Project Manager to ensure successful completion of the program.

Provide technical and programme support to local CBOs in order to build capacity.
Involve/include local CBOs in all aspects of planning and implementation in order to maintain sustainability.
Promote a positive profile of the programme and good understanding among other sectors, partners and the communities we work in about the programme.
Ability to provide leadership in collection, monitoring and analysis of community feedback to the CP programme to guide programme planning.
Provide oversight and monitoring to Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) managers.
Identify, monitor and analyze access to services and quality of CP services gaps.
