I am working as Assistant Tehsil Officer (Regulation), LCS-PUGF Admin cadre officer in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government, Elections and Rural Development Department (LGERDD) since October 2018. I am currently posted in Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Mardan. The scope of my work is management of government resources as well as regulation, generation, and enhancement of revenue sources within Tehsil Mardan. Along with my primary responsibilities, I am also deputed as enforcement officer to enforce city local government byelaws, rules and regulations under the framework of Local Government Act, 2013/2019 (Amended).
Soon after completing my MS in Development Studies from COMSATS University Islamabad-Abbottabad back in 2013, I started my professional career as Capacity Development Officer in a development project i.e. Citizen Engagement for Social Services Delivery (CESSD) with SAIBAAN Development Organization, Mansehra, Pakistan. Working in CESSD thrived my interest not only to work for community development but to dig deep into the dynamics of community development so, with this practical experience in CESSD, I completed PHD in Development Studies from COMSATS University, Islamabad-Abbottabad Campus recently (Jan, 2022). My PhD research work covered comparative analysis of status of men and women political representation and participation in KP, analysis of the opportunities particularly created by Government policies and Non Governmental Organizations for women political representation and participation in KP provincial assembly and local councils as well as analysis of the challenges women representatives particularly face in KP provincial assembly and local governance. My PhD research work was funded by Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU), Norway. I had an opportunity to complete two courses at the same university.
I offer my expertise to design, manage, execute and supervise any program/project related to local governance reforms and community participation and development in terms of providing bridges between the government initiatives and community demands.
