Muhammad Azeem resident of Sanghar Sindh, holds a masters degree in Sociology, a Bachelor of Education (B.ed) from the University of Sindh Jamshoro along with a diploma in Information technology. He has 15 years of extensive experience in the non-profit sector in the following components
CBDRM/ Emergencies
As manager/ Coordinator he managed different Projects with I/NGOs on CBDRM, Cash-based transfers, early recovery, and rehabilitation during PHAT cyclone 2009, rain flood emergencies from 2010 to 2012, and rain flood of 2020 in different districts of Sindh.
He has a strong knowledge of SPHERE Standards, Hyogo and Sendai framework, Millennium/Sustainable Development Goals (M/SDGs) Core humanitarian standards (CHS), cash-based transfer programs, CLTS, and Livelihood.
Advocacy
He has been part of different advocacy campaigns including the rights of fishermen, rights of peasants, child and women rights and Right to education, Right to health, youth development, electoral reforms, sustainable education, and health policies as Project coordinator, Social Organizer, and Project Manager. He has extensive experience in advocacy and lobbying from the grassroots level to the provincial legislature. He has also been at the forefront of designing IEC material for these campaigns.
Education
In the education sector, Azeem has worked as Project Manager with ARTS Foundation in USAID funded CVP project on Provincial education Policy in 4 districts including Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot, and Tharparker. He has offered his services as District campaign manager with Idara e Taleem o Aagahi in the ASER project. With Makhi Welfare organization, he remained as a Social Organizer in the education sector reforms assistance project to enhance girls enrolment.
