Monitoring is the systematic collection and analysis of information to enable the stakeholders determine whether key activities are being carried out as planned and desired results achieved or not. Monitoring provides feed back to the Management calling for corrective actions.Monitoring, evaluation and research collectively constitute a key instrument in ensuring the ongoing learning necessary for the improvement of development interventions. In order to measure and ensure the effectiveness of its organisation’s work in long-established areas of focus, SRSO’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Unit (MERU) has conducted numerous studies. These internal studies have greatly helped the SRSO staff in determining the level and types of efforts necessary in achieving optimum results in terms of the depth and breadth of SRSO’s activities. Our rigorous monitoring system provides continuous feedback to the management and to other development partners. MER also assists the management in identifying relevant monitoring and evaluation indicators for inputs, processes and outcomes. MER professionals design Log Frames, Survey forms and other tools. This goes without saying that the MER is an important Section to ensure the quality of delivery of main Programme and to monitor the performance of professional staff.Responsibilities of MER:

The motto of the CUC is “integrity, professionalism, erudition and competence. CUC upholds its ideology of offering courses that are centered on scientific based learning by emphasizing the application of a course and relevance to the particular discipline. The CUC has led and completed several programs which are of advanced level in China and abroad in the field of digital broadcasting technology --- the standard making and system under development for the national digital medium and short wave broadcasting, and the standard making for the national mobile phone TV & mobile multimedia technology. CUC publishes a well-known magazine named “Modern Media” which belongs to the Journal Project of the Ministry of Education.
CUC is well-equipped with a multimedia network, digital cable network, library literature information resources network, and modern distance learning education web. Moreover, the public service systems of CUC are now more comprehensive. There are 2 National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers in CUC, namely the Radio & TV and New Media Experimental Teaching Center as well as the Animation and Digital Media Experimental Teaching Center. We are immensely pleased to share that you have been selected as a member of the prestigious 17th & 18th Youth Parliament Pakistan® (YPP). Please note that this is a conditional offer subject to your confirmation that you undertake and affirm that you will follow the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business framed, to be framed and amended by the YPP Secretariat.
The 18th Youth Parliament Pakistan® is primarily going to be convened from December 2023 – December 2024 (The dates are tentative and subject to change at the sole discretion of the YPP Secretariat). The YPP will train young and aspiring individuals from all geographical areas: Islamabad Capital Territory, 4 Provinces (Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh), as well as Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Overseas Pakistanis resident in major areas of concentration like Middle East, Europe, Americas, rest of the areas like Australia-New Zealand etc.

The aim of YPP is to make youth aware of the global, national and local developments; inform them of their rights and duties as citizens (or persons of origin) of Pakistan and the globe; prepare them to be productive and responsible citizens who are tolerant towards beliefs and viewpoints which are different from their own. The term will consist of multiple sessions. To maintain your position as an MYP, you must undertake, and fully participate in all sessions of the programme.  
1.     The sessions will involve various political and socio-political education activities, consisting of plenary discussions with renowned leaders and experts in their respective fields.
2.    Activities will consist of courses, group discussions, engagement with experts, leaders and officials, surveys, parliamentary-style debates etc. You will be informed of the activities beforehand.
3.    There will be no charge for virtual activities but since in-person activities/sessions will involve travel, hotel stay and associated expenses, the members will be required to bear such expenses, which will be announced close to the activity dates. You may pay for these activities yourself, or find a sponsor. Along with the usual activities, the in-person session may consist of Study Visits to parliamentary institutions and meetings with senior public officials.
4.  Youth representatives from all constituencies will be assigned work such as developing a report on the status of development in their constituency or on the performance of their parliamentarians in that particular constituency, development projects in the area, verification or fact-check report on any localized incident taken place in the area, undertaking public opinion surveys sent in by the Secretariat, etc. Participation and completion of all such activities is compulsory to maintain your membership in the YPP and lack of interest in such activities may be the grounds for termination of membership.

Main Responsibilities:

Build partnership with key stakeholders and individuals in the community.
Liaise and coordinate with program staff for project implementation.
Carry out awareness raising sessions and outreach activities to inform the community members about services.
Should pass on routine feedback findings of the community members and other stakeholders.
Will facilitate the community to pass their complaints to the management through CBFRM in a transparent manner.
Respond and adjust to a flexible activity scheduling, logistical constraints related to public space management, or social dynamics involving the community and its expectations.
Act in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner towards other colleagues & community.

A Research Associate is responsible for planning, organizing and conducting research on the economy, investments, markets or businesses. Depending on the structure of an organization, a Research Associate may be at the same level or below a Research Analyst and at the same level or above a Research Assistant.
The specific duties and responsibilities of a Research Associate will vary from organization or organization, but typical duties include:

Acting as a resource, answering questions and explaining related procedures to participants
Monitoring study activities to ensure the terms of the study and industry protocols are followed.
Ensuring the study site complies with all federal and local regulations and laws
Conducting the hiring and training of study staff members and volunteers
Creating thorough documentation of study protocols and updating them as necessary

Under the supervision of the Country Representative, the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation  Coordinator and ambassador is responsible for ensuring that a Results-Based Management (RBM) approach is fully integrated into the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) of Pakistan; WHO recognized to and international level standard cancer hospital and the Strategic Note, the Vision Document, Annual Work Planning and Reporting of UN Women Pakistan, including, evidence-based programming approach and the results based M&E. Responsibilities include: managing the programmed Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation (LME) activities; monitor, access, analyze and produce reports about key results and achievements across UN Women Pakistan programmed; provide technical support on Results-Based Planning, Reporting, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning; support RBM and M&E activities of the Research and Data Section. The PM&E Coordinator will work closely with the Partnership and WHO and health sector, on economic analyses to guide programming in the area of inclusive and resilient economies and gender inclusive financing.
The Shaukat Khanum Student Ambassador Program offer a great opportunity for students to represent the mission of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) in their respective colleges or institutes located all across the world. The Shaukat Khanum Student Ambassadors act as a liaison between the Hospital and their educational institutes and get hands-on marketing experience to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills.  
The Ambassadors will be required to connect with us on a monthly basis to help plan events and activities in their respective institutes. Some examples of events and activities other than the promotion of all the marketing and fundraising campaigns include organizing a charity day, bake sale, charity sports tournament, cancer awareness walk, and/or any other popular activity in their respective institutes.  

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centers (SKMCH&RC) are state-of-the-art cancer centers located in Lahore and Peshawar, Pakistan. SKMCH&RC, Lahore was the first project of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust, which is a charitable organization established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 of Pakistan. The Lahore hospital has gone from strength to strength, establishing a reputation for clinical excellence, and for research, and was awarded JCI accreditation in 2018. Consistently, the hospital has continued to treat more than 75% of all cancer patients seen completely free of charge.

About the objectives and importance of the Prime Minister Youth Internship Program, The orientation sessions were designed keeping in view the challenges faced by young interns while working for the Parliament. During the program participants learned about the Constitution of Pakistan and working of the Parliament. The interns highlighting the challenges faced by parliamentarians in the performance of their roles and responsibilities and in managing constituency relations.  Participants were acquainted about their job descriptions, development of daily and weekly plans to perform their tasks; importance of work ethics and the use of online portals developed for the monitoring of PMYTS..
