I am accountable for the following duties:
• Worked on complex claims, from initial notice through to claim resolution, including any potential recovery. Successfully managed insurance claims cases running for over a year period, with the most complex taking multiple years.
• Study insurance claims requests and determine if a major claim should be settled or litigated.
• Obtaining required data/evidences & supports from claimants to investigate the cases & to assess the extent of loss
• Negotiated highly complex settlement packages, and authorized payment within scope of authority.
• Settling claims in most cost effective manner and ensuring timely issuance of disbursements.
• Worked with surveyors, underwriters, legal & claimant regarding the handling and/or nature of highly complex claims.
• Worked closely with underwriting units, including (i) providing regular claim updates; (ii) advising on company policy;
• Responsible for Management to present monthly claims statistics presentations.
• Manage, prepare and assess claims
• Ensure claims are settled in accordance with policy and company guidelines
• Promptly advise clients of decisions regarding claims
• Deny claims where applicable
• Liaise with vendors when needed
• Apply creative problem-solving to selected claims, while adhering to policy definitions and regulations
