• Responsible for managing hard core cash transactions at branch level including cash deposit, withdrawal and recoveries from field staff and borrowers.
• Ensure vigilance over cash collection to eliminate risk of forged/fake currency notes and safe keeping of cash and cash equivalents/valuables with in insurance limits.
• Daily banking of collections and preparation of related accounting documents for financial data base.
• Ensure branch financial data integrity, accuracy, completeness and its timely submission to processing Hub for accounts compilation.
February 2013 – December 2013:-
• Daily reconciliation of Bank Statement with Branches Bank Book. Scrutiny with respect to any outstanding transactions.
• Follow-up with branches regarding outstanding entries, i.e. those appearing in GL and not in Bank Statement or vice versa.
• Scrutiny of Bills Payable (Demand Draft & Pay Order) transactions and their encashment from Bank account or other KBL branch.
• Preparation of monthly Bills Payable reconciliation (DD & PO) and intimating higher management to resolve reconciling issues.
• Preparation of excel based Bills Payable schedule (DD & PO) to identify outstanding instruments.
• Reconciliation of daily recovery of branches with MCB MIS reports and cross check with Bank statement.
• Preparation of CMD Fund transfer scroll received from Fund officer on daily basis for reconciliation with MCB withdrawals report.
• Recording of adjustments in Corporate GL of reconciling factors appearing during reconciliation activity.
October 2009 – February 2013:-
• Monitoring the data integration of branches between Integrated Banking Application (IBA) and GL module pertaining to full service banking operations including disbursements, recoveries, deposits, withdrawals and clearing transactions.
• Preparing reconciliation between Integrated Banking Application and GL module numbers to identify anomalies (if any).
• Preparing monthly reconciliations between GL account balances and Credit Management System numbers of loan disbursements and recoveries to identify differences in mark up, provisions, disbursements and recoveries to ensure their timely rectification (if required).
• Recording of data in computerized accounting system (Sidat Hyder Financials)
• Reconciliation of Bank, Cash Accounts and Inter Branch Head Office with branches.
