Develop detailed technical BoQs and ensure appropriate drawing and design of
Hardware component, Including
Over sighting technical aspects of emergency WASH and Shelter response such as quick repair &
Rehabilitation of water supply system,
Water distribution networks, water quality, emergency latrine design and excreta
Disposal.
In charge of carrying WASH interventions in Emergency Response Project operations in
the target areas

Manage and supervise field staff according to standard ACTED guidelines including performance management, job
orientation, capacity building, support in recruitment process and grievance handling.Background information collection
and organization on the broader programs/projects in the field including emergency response.
Identify problems and propose and implement remedial action. Identify alternative courses of action, to accelerate/improve
program delivery.
In coordination with the field team, support the maintenance of programs data and MIS.
As part of the Technical Unit the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
Provide technical information and interpretation of plans, preparation of detail estimation sheets and specifications for the
successful implementation of the projects
Provide daily/weekly reporting regarding projects.
Complete knowledge of surveying techniques and procedures is necessary
Prepare detailed cost estimates, planning, implementation and technical feasibility for projects
S/he shall at all times know progress of the ongoing projects with respect to planning and should be able to give details of
why project ahead/behind schedule at all times
Work in coordination with SMU for developing community action plan
Work with community in training mason and other operation committee on technical aspect of the project
Work with PE for developing monitoring frame work and timeline for the project activities
Provide complete support during supervision of construction and carry out quality control inspection and monitor progress
Develop standard drawings, bills of quantities and detail materials list for projects
Provide basic technical training to the local communities for the sustainability of ongoing projects.
Where possible develop and propose new projets.

Verification of the appropriate standard and quantity of materials used in water and sanitation schemes.
Assist in assessing the needs and integrate WASH intervention wherever needed. This would include designing and
implementation of complementary emergency WASH interventions (including livelihoods, nutrition and Health).
Responsible for updating detailed implementation/ work plan.
Support in overseeing the management of program, HR, Finances, and Logistics in project target districts.
Responsible for all aspects of delivering a high quality, effective and accountable WASH program implementation,
programmatic and operational matters.
Responsible for achieving program compliance with quality and accountability international standards

 Need  Assessment
To work the community for the roll-out of agreed project activities formation of Village committees and child clubs.
 To assist identifying CB-DRR activities e.g. Hazard Mapping for community members and also engage children and youth in suitable engagement/participation session through meetings and sessions.
 Conduct the process of community mobilization and form village disaster Management Committee & District Disaster Management Committee
 To work with Village disaster Management Committees to come up with Community Based DRR Plans.
 Conduct training in First Aid.
 Facilitate the process of integration of school based plans into community DRR Plans.
 Facilitate VDMC in implementation of small level mitigation projects as identified in community based DRR plans embedded with school DRR Plan.
 Compile case studies in coordination with Media and communications Team.
 Provide regular and follow up support to communities’ organization (CO) on school rapid response team (SSRT) community rapid response team (CRRT) for Disaster risk reduction (DRR) activities.
 Compile all the Disaster risk reduction (DRR) related activities hard and soft reports and maintain daily & records.
 Develop and share daily progress reports with (DRR) project Officer.
