Job Title Field Education OfficerProject UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees)Job SummaryThe Field Education Officer work on the UNHCR project to ensure access to quality education for refugee children and youth in the field. The officer will- Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and communities to establish and maintain temporary learning spaces- Develop and implement education programs, including curriculum design and teacher training- Monitor and evaluate education activities, identifying areas for improvement- Collaborate with other UNHCR teams to ensure education is integrated into the overall refugee response- Advocate for the rights of refugee children and youth to access quality educationThe Field Education Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that refugee children and youth have access to quality education, helping them build a brighter future despite the challenges they face.

Developed referral mechanism and strengthen linkages.
Made close Coordinated with Field Supervisor for tracking of clients for HTC services.
 Coordinated with Social Mobilizer for ART (anti-retroviral therapy) referral services of reactive clients.
Carried Motivation, counseling, and psychological assessment of HIV+ clients for ART link-up and AAU(Art adherent Unit) referrals.
Counseling of HIV+ clients on treatment for ART adherence.
Motivation and counseling of non-adherent HIV+ clients for re-initiation of ART.
In consultation with the Site Manager, planned and established  HTC  (HIV Testing and Counseling) services for PWIDs and their partners
Conducted pre and post-test counseling with clients on regular basis.
Facilitated family contacts after client consent where possible and appropriate (as per HTC and family counseling SOPs).
Conducted follow-up sessions after the client has reintegrated with family and maintained follow-up records (SOPs to be followed).
Maintained all records/information related to clients, and their test results in strict confidentiality
Attended meetings in which highlighted issues of clients raised in the field.
Participated and discussed issues pertaining to HTC, Prevention, care & support services
Maintained a daily diary and submitted the report of daily activities to the site manager by the end of the day.
Maintained HTC files, monitoring, and figure charts (as per SOPs)
