I began my professional career as a House Officer in Medicine and Allied, and Surgery and Allied at Rehman Medical Institute. br Followed by my house job, I worked as a Medical Officer in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at RMI, Peshawar. After my MO-ship, I pursued my career in Pulmonology with subsequent complete post-graduate specialist training at Rehman Medical Institute, Peshawar affiliated with College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.brLater, I worked as a Resident Medical Officer in the esteemed Pakistan Red Crescent Society. (June 1, 2023 to November 30, 2023) hence I have a background experience working in emergency country context. My duties were taking thorough histories of patients and giving them the best possible evidence based care. Prescribing them appropriate antibiotics, bronchodilators, intravenous/oral corticosteroids, anticoagulants, analgesics, anti-inflammatory medication, and if needed antidiabetics, antihypertensives, antianginals etc. I had to admit patients from the emergency department and give the best treatment plan after discussion with my senior colleagues. In case of urgent/emergent needs, I also shifted ICU candidates to intensive care. I did bronchoscopy, pleural taps, chest tube intubations, and other complex procedures such as pleurodesis.
