Graduated from Government College University Faisalabad, under degree program, BS (Hons.) Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Carry certified practical experience of more than 8 months in different hospital setups, including Wapda Hospital, Abdullah Trust Hospital, and Allied Hospital Faisalabad. Know how to deal with patients suffering from multiple disorders, ranging from OPD to ICU. Currently, training at Allied hospital Faisalabad, since Feb 2020. I have always believed that practical experience is as much important as theoretical knowledge is. Considering this, I have participated in many events (i.e. assessment camps, MNT programs, workshops, training sessions) related to awareness of the nutritional impact on our health, during the last two years of my degree program. Also served as a diet counsultant in more than 15 nutrition assessment camps. Also was assigned as coordinator of the GC chapter in Nutritionists Society of Pakistan (NSP), a registered society under the act of the government of Punjab. Besides this, I am also working as a diet consultant at Eilya Care Home, a place for special kind children. All these activities and experiences have improved my skills as a dietetic student/dietitian. Keenly interested in research work. I have done a lot of research about,"How resveratrol can help against diabetes?", "Role of pineapple (bromelain) in treating asthma", and "Black seed oil, pineapple juice, and honey against COVID-19". Also have some publications to my name that I wrote for a local site (SRKN news) and a local magazine (La Vida).
I have been doing my training at Allied hospital faisalabad for almost 6 months, but I am not doing job here. It is just a part of my degree program to have final semester internship at any hospital. As, I am a fresh graduate although I have been involved into practical side for last 2 years, either in the form of hospital internships or community camps. And, yes I am still doing practice at Allied hospital faisalbad, but on volunteer purposes.
I have been a part of Nutritionists Society of Pakistan for almost 2 years from now. Here, I was assigned the role of main coordinator from GCUF chapter, as well as a diet consultant. In these two years, I have participated in number of assessment camps and awareness seminars, and have almost screened upto 400+ person. A cabinet of 9 people was designed to work for GCUF chapter, in which I was playing one of the major roles. This wonderful experience of two years has drastically enhanced my practical skills of assessing nutritional status, recommending dietary interventions and coordination with others.I WAS NOT AWARDED ANY PAY IN THIS DURATION, AS THIS SOCIETY IS A SELF-FUNDED ORGANIZATION!
My role,at Eilya Care Home as a diet consultant, helped me experiencing a new side of malnourished population. Here, I dealt children of special needs, i.e, Willi-prador syndrome, autism, ADHD, etc. This whole year, we conducted many assessment camps at different places, to know the essential needs of this community, either nutritional or psychological. Besides this, a couple of awareness seminars were also held to appreciate these brilliant angels and to explore the better side of this community.*AS THIS WAS A N.G.O AND A CHARITABLE INSTITUE, SO I WAS NOT AWARDED ANY PAY OR SALARY HERE!*
This 2-month internship, I did in 2018, was totally my volunteer desire. This was probably the first practical experience for me to deal with clients for real. A couple of camps, a food development program, and assessment exams were part of this internship program.*THIS WAS NOT A PAID INTERNSHIP, SO I DID NOT GET ANY PAY/SALARY DURING THIS INNTERNSHIP PROGRAM*
