Legal Counsel
Job description includes;
1. To draft, negotiate & revie legal and commercial documents in a timely and effective manner. Such documents include various agreements, MOU, settlement agreement, amendments etc. along with review and fine-tuning of all other day-to-day contracts. The job role is also for developing templates for various Departments in order to remove any ambiguity so that to manage business risks.
2. To maintain Commercial and current Legal status of agreements, licences and leases.
3. Prepare presentations & reports to assist the management and Peers on various issues.
4. Prepare and present the change in laws/rules/PCA affecting the petroleum industry along with advising the business on Concession Management and the governing documents. Job role also includes preparation and development of OMV activities compared to that of the oil & gas sector in Pakistan
5. To monitor all general/local Litigations for and providing external counsel guidance and monitoring their progress and reporting the same to the Management on a weekly basis.
6. To prepare, review, analyze, update, monitor and make recommendations to the Legal Compliance System in line with the changing Laws/Regulations. Such revisions to be circulated amongst the management for compliance of the same.
7. Liaison with relevant department managers to collect data for update of the Legal Compliance System. Key responsibility is to ensure that the data is uploaded efficiently and is correct so that in case any corrective/mitigation measures are needed the same is done on a priority basis in order to decide future action plan.
8. Coordination with industry Regulator.
Manager Legal (Corporate & Commercial)
Worked as Assistant Manager Legal for more then 2 years. There i enjoyed high level of atonomy and assigned with various reponsibilities which includes Drafting of agreements, addendums etc, Advising of various legal queries, Managed complex multi-party contracts, Vetting of Contracts, Letter of intents/ letter of awards, RFPs/RFQs, NDAs, MOUs, lease agreements and Undertaken Legal Researches, Preparing presentation to represent before management.
Leading the Negotiations and Major Deals with end users to finalize the major contract.
Providing regular assistance in handling of regulatory/commercial and land cases, Appeared before different courts for the same and Liaising with lawyers and law firms to follow up the cases.
