Duty as a medical officer in OPD as well as inpatient department.

SHO in pulmonology ward for 3 months. Here, I performed various procedures including pleural tap, pleural biopsy, endotracheal intubation and chest intubation. This 3-month rotation also consisted of observation of various other procedures including bronchoscopy and flouroscopy. As our ward was actively involved in handling Covid-19 pandemic, therefore I have in depth knowledge about management of Covid-19 patients.

SHO in general medicine included duties in caring of admitted patients( taking a detailed history, performing thorough examination, prescribing necessary treatment and performing skilled procedures like CVP line, urinary catheterization, NG tube insertion, ascitic tap, lumbar puncture, urinary and arterial blood sampling, passing IV line,pleural tap, CPR). The rotation also involved a 2-week duty in medical ICU where I learned the treatment of critically ill patients.

Junior Housejob in Ophthalmic Surgery for 3 months. I handled cases in emergency as well as in OPD under the guidance of consultant ophthalmologists. The rotation also included an experience gaining in ophthalmic surgeries including corneal repair, corneal transplant, ECCE, squint surgeries, surgeries for the malignant conditions and glaucoma.

Worked as a junior houseofficer in general surgery ward KTH(for 3 months). Performed various minor surgical procedures like suturing of wounds, abscess drainage, debridement and dressing of diabetec foot ulcers, appendectomy etc. Also assisted in major surgical procedures, for example cholecystectomy, nephrectomy, herniorraphy, herniotomy, colectomy, stoma reversal etc. Meanwhile, I also assisted my colleagues inside the wards for preparing patients for surgical procedures. Besides, I also worked for 2 weeks in Surgical ICU for management of critically ill patients.
