My interest in Electronic Engineering began when I saw the inside of a CPU at a Computers Expo. Seeing the shiny motherboard, wires & various components got me hooked on a passion to learn how it is built and how it all works. With time, my interest evolved into manufacturing sector as I saw automation in various factories in several videos of ‘How it’s Made’ & ‘Mighty Ships. With this developed passion I became a dedicated student and kept my GPA above ‘3.0’ in almost all semesters.
Throughout my studies, I made several projects with the aim of keeping them all relevant to the course material to truly see the difference between theory & practical. The success of all my projects was highly dependent on successful collaboration with my peers and it taught me how important being a team is; I design, you assemble, he programs, they solder etc, everyone choosing to do what they are ‘best’ at. My most creative project was when I attempted to create a ‘model’ of a Garbage Truck (based on our environment) that can pick up garbage and dump it in itself. With help in design from my group member on Google Sketch up, I got a 3.5/4.0 on the course.
I possess strong analytical skills from mathematics courses further expanded by my work on MATLAB & Simulink where after several assignments I created a simulation for a VFD Drive based on given parameters and achieved a ‘3.0’ grade. I also created several P, PI, PD, PID controller simulations based on plant requirements like steady state error, transient response etc and achieved a ‘3.0’ grade. I possess strong critical thinking skills from CADE course on AUTOCAD where I successfully solved complex design problems by approaching each differently to achieve a ‘4.0’ grade.
I’ve had the opportunity to be ‘Director Sindh Basic Education’ in the ‘Iqra University Pakistan National Council’ by MUN society and I was given ‘Honorary Mention’ for my efforts in determining reliable & sustainable solution for basic education in underprivileged areas. I’m truly proficient in English by my IELTS Score of ‘7.5/9.0’ and an ‘A’ grade in IGCSE English (2nd Language) with Grade ‘1’ in Speaking.
