I am an experienced and dedicated professional with a solid background in program assistant and monitoring and evaluation (ME) support. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in Gender Studies from Fatimah Jinnah Women's University, I am deeply committed to addressing gender-related issues and actively contributing to the development sector. My educational background has equipped me with valuable insights into gender disparities and social safety concerns, enabling me to approach development projects with a comprehensive perspective.
During my studies, I actively participated in Social Action Projects with the British Council Pakistan. Here, I excelled in organizing and conducting awareness sessions and training programs on menstrual hygiene and reproductive health for young female students in public schools. Additionally, as a core member of the Sahara-e-Bezuban project in Chitral, I spearheaded efforts to advocate for child abuse prevention, address harassment issues, and promote social safety, particularly focusing on the well-being of disabled children.
Following this, I started an internship with the Aga Khan Rural Support Program, where I coordinated rural development projects under the United Nations Multiyear Humanitarian Project. Championing menstrual hygiene and reproductive health initiatives, I crafted a comprehensive framework for the inclusion of women in rural development efforts. This experience allowed me to closely engage with rural women, identify their needs, and implement sustainable solutions to promote gender equality.
Additionally, my role as a counsellor at Curiosity Junior School Islamabad enriched my ability to educate young minds about social safety, with a special focus on girls' rights and empowerment.
As a District Field Monitor, I oversaw the monitoring of the Vitamin A campaign in Upper Chitral, ensuring systematic distribution and entry of Vitamin A capsules. I also supervised the monitoring and evaluation of Polio and VAS training, collaborating with health professionals and service providers to optimize campaign performance.
In February 2023, I served as a supervisor for the monitoring of Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) during Post-Polio Campaign activities conducted by WHO. I facilitated data collection, led rapid assessment teams, and provided technical assistance to ensure effective coordination and feedback.
My role as an Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with ROZAN involved leading and providing oversight support for GBV and Child Sexual Abuse projects. I designed and implemented project monitoring plans, prepared pre- and post-evaluation questionnaires, and managed team performance and capacity building. This increased my knowledge on gender-based issues and sexual harassment faced by women and children in Pakistan Society and how to overcome these issues.
Moreover, I participated as an Atlas Corp Virtual Leadership Fellow from February 2023 to August 2023, which enabled me to design projects focusing on climate change and women's GBV issues.
I also worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant at NEOC Pakistan, where I facilitated meeting minutes and ensured their actionability and timely delivery.
Currently, I am working with CHIP Consulting and Training as a Program Data Assistant, responsible for assisting in gathering polio campaign coverage data from all districts, compiling and sharing it with provincial and federal offices, providing administrative support, assisting in the analysis of post-campaign evaluations, preparing campaign review presentations and preparing monitoring plans for polio campaigns.
Through these diverse experiences, I have refined my skills in program assistance, monitoring and evaluation, and advocacy, and remain dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the development sector.
I am working as a Program Data Assistant for Polio Third Party Personnel (PTPP) as part of the Polio Eradication Initiative (PEI) emergency program in Pakistan.
