As HR Manager I was responsible for recruitment of senior level positions for multinational companies. My responsibilities included:
Sourcing candidates for large scale recruitment from Job-Boards, Social Networking Websites, referrals & Internal Databases for the existing clients.
Using www.linkedin.com mostly to search for targeted candidates from required companies as a part of Head Hunting (target skill search). Sourcing strategy by developing a target list of companies.
Drawing specific search plans and strategies to execute different searches, focusing passive searches in case of any scarce skills.
Contacting candidates to conduct initial telephonic interviews to screen them before presenting the short-listed profiles to the clients.
Setting up interviews, providing feedback to candidates and closing deals by negotiating on the offered packages. Sending mail-shots to the candidates by using mail merge facility after choosing a list of candidates from company’s internal database.
Creating attractive job postings on several job-boards, handling responses and contacting the best matches and storing the CVs on the database as well.
Interacting with different organizations as Career Pakistan’s representative and participated in managing the relationship between Career Pakistan and the organizations.
Attending client conference calls to get updated on the revised requirements. Understanding of current job openings and developing a continuing communication with the client.
Focusing on Cross-boarder hiring issues, handling the relocation queries, language constraints and informing selected candidates regarding the social norms and expenditure variations among different countries.
Providing Tracking Reports of the Recruitment Activity on weekly basis. Participating in weekly online recruiter meetings where the ideas are shared and new techniques and technologies are presented.
Managing company’s special projects within strict deadlines in close coordination with CEO.
Counselling and training of newly hired staff for different job roles.
Processing of payroll and records maintenance by following policies and procedures.
Managing a team of recruiters focused on hiring for multiple international roles.
Leading the recruitment and pre-selection salary negotiation for hiring.
I worked as Programme Support Officer for UNIFEM's Gender Equality Project by contributing towards achievement of its goal for the improvement of women’s human rights, health, education and economic empowerment in Pakistan through the promotion and strengthening of equitable development processes and the reinforcement of gender mainstreaming initiatives in all tiers of government (federal, provincial and local government levels).
Under the supervision of the Team Leader and UNIFEM Country Programme Director, I was responsible for the following tasks:
1- Web-research, collection of desired resources and support in desk review.
2- Provision of support to the team of consultants undertaking the review such as making appointments, keeping track of all lists of interviewees.
3- Development of relevant briefs as and when required by the Team Leader.
4- Maintenance of an updated database of names and contacts for Gender Mainstreaming Unit and various departments/ministries at Federal and Provincial level.
5- Assist in the documentation preparation and submission of material to donors, government officials and team members.
6- Submission of fortnightly report on work accomplished.
Provision of logistics support for workshops/meetings and subsequent preparation of minutes of the meeting.
At IGI I worked in Underwriting Department as an Assistant Manager - basic job responsibilities comprised of the following:
1- Preparation of new quotations to be sent to respective clients.
2- Posting of policy documents after complete information is gathered in GIAS (General Insurance and Accounting System).
3- To ensure 100 % retention of Company’s business by monitoring and follow up of policy renewals.
4- Preparation of premium reports for branch and reporting to Head office. To ensure that proper filling and record keeping is maintained.
5- To help and assist Branch Head for hiring of operational staff.
6- Monitor headcount and manage reports including salary review process within given deadlines.
Risk Re-Assessment (RRA) was the global initiative launched by the bank to re-evaluate the worthiness of its customers all over the world. I was hired as a team member of analysing committee responsible for the submission of final report on ABN clientele from Pakistan.
Basic job responsibilities comprised the following:
1- Understanding the basics of Risk Re-Assessment Process. Working on Octopus (banking software for client data management).
2- Establishing true identity of Corporate Clients of ABN AMRO and if applicable, to find out relevant details regarding directors of the business and ultimate beneficiaries through different Global Sources i.e. Lexis Nexis, One source, Dun & Bradstreet , World Check).
3- Coordination with ABN AMRO Netherlands office to report the project progress and to discuss day to day issues associated with this project.
4- Process of assigning risk profile to the client based on its location, the nature of its business, entity type and its usage of ABN AMRO products which results in risk rating of the client as increased risk, neutral risk and neutral mitigated.
5- Due to the responsible nature of my role as Lockers in Charge one of the major responsibilities was to ensure the identity of new customers and as well of existing account/locker holders. Simultaneous management of foreign and local accounts and making sure that all the personal identification documents are well in place.
6- Processing of all outgoing clearing cheques (including verification of the beneficiary name and the title of account in which the cheque is to be credited).
