I am an anthropologist with fourteen (14) years’ experience in project/program management, cash transfer programming-CTP (including food vouchers), and conducting action research in childhood immunization, adolescent empowerment, non-formal education, food security, and the livelihoods sector. My experience ranges from working on projects/programs funded by USAID/OFDA, DFID, EU, ECHO, SIDA, Trocaire, and Concern Worldwide Rapid Fund following donor guidelines.
Leading implementation of research and evaluation of the Cash Transfer Program on childhood immunization project in Pakistan with technical support from IRD and the University of Chicago researchers. Major responsibilities include project management, IRB approval, recruitment, procurement, budgeting, and survey execution in the field under the direct technical supervision of Prof. Rachel Glannersters of the University of Chicago.

The responsibilities ncluding office set up, inception, budgeting, planning and execution of cash and voucher distribution, recruitment of staff, procurement, enrollment of beneficiaries, data collection, cleaning and analysis and research uptake. The project is funded by DFID and is being implemented by ACF in Pakistan.

• Implemented action research study on Cash Transfer Programming (CTPs) in emergency context in Dadu district through randomized control trial (RCT) methodology
• Designed and reviewed data collection procedures and tools

Overall responsible for the implementation of Research on Food Assistance for Nutritional Impact (REFANI) project, including office set up, inception, budgeting, planning and execution of cash and voucher distribution, recruitment of staff, procurement, enrollment of beneficiaries, data collection, cleaning and analysis and research uptake. The project is funded by DFID and is being implemented by a consortium led by ACF.
Key Achievements:
• Led a team of 85 project management and field staff
• Distribution of cash and food vouchers for 1800 households in six monthly tranches
• Managed the project budget of around 1 million GBPs
• Led online monthly data collection from 2400 households six months
• Responsible for security, field movement and capacity building of research and FSL staff
• Responsible for coordination with consortium partners, technical research partners and external stakeholders, nationally and internationally
• Presentation of research findings at Nutrition Research Steering Committee in London

• Designed and supervised implementation of different projects technically and operationally on Disaster Risk Reduction, Sustainable Livelihoods, Sindh Reading Project, Sindh Community Mobilization Project (USAID), Education Program of IRC
• Ensure that IRC systems and policies are understood and implemented properly by all staff in the district office as administration supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading on implementation of Ilm IDEAS project funded DFID for advocacy on “Right to Education (RTE) Act 2013” in eight district of Sindh province. The project was aimed at catalyzing implementation of RTE Act in Sindh province by engaging provincial and district governments.

• Facilitated children led campaign for Right to Education
• Organized Junior Leaders’ Conference for Right to Education in 8 Districts of Sindh
• Designed and implemented advocacy strategy for children led Right to Education advocacy campaign
• Liaisoned with Sindh Government and Education Department Official for implementing RTE Act
• Engaged civil society and media throughout eight districts to support in implementing RTE Act
• Planed, organized and supervised RTE awareness programs at community and school levels
• Led, guided and supervised eight volunteer groups formed across eight districts to advocate for education/schools related problems at district level

• Supported senior management in preparation of project log-frames of all the projects on WASH, Shelter and Food security during the 2010 and 2011 floods in the districts Tando Allah Yaar, Jamshoro, Sehwan, Thatta and MirpurKhas

• Led Humanitarian agencies at district level and participated at provincial level on WASH Cluster at Tando Allah yaar during 2011 floods, as part of UNICEF’s Cluster Coordination Mechanism
• Coordinated with District Governments, humanitarian agencies, UN agencies like UNOCHA, UNICEF, UNFPA etc
• Ensure participatory methods are used in project activities, and that accountability (feedback/ complaints) mechanisms are in place.
