Outline:
I have over 16 years of experience working in the field of supply chain management. Currently, I am working as work an Import & Export Manager in a Manufacturer and Exporter of Fashion Garments, where I am improving products while reducing costs by using collaborative negotiation, improving Incoterms and scheduling, and functioning on SRO’s benefits to save duties and taxes on Import.
• Previously, I was Head of Import in Artistic Milliners (Pvt) Ltd. & Al-Karam Towel Industries (Pvt.) Ltd., where I improved products while reducing costs by using collaborative negotiation, improving Incoterms and scheduling, and functioning on SRO’s benefits.
• I also integrated the ERP system in complete import documentation formats that shrunk paper usage.
• I have an MBA in Supply Chain from ILMA University Formerly (Institute of Business technology)
I am well-versed in import management, negotiations, procurement, transportation, customs clearance, custom annual audits, and renewal of License, Procedure of New License and I fulfilled all legal requirements related to Import & Pakistan Customs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Handling all foreign trade-related matters, including L/Cs and advance payments in coordination with foreign contacts and banks.
• Ensuring timely delivery of all imported raw materials, packaging materials, and parts.
• Monitoring and close liaison with the clearing agents; to ensure smooth processing of all custom clearance matters.
• Prepare, Update & Monitor statements of Excise Bank Guarantee, and Containers Security Deposit.
• Acting as a knowledge source for all customs regulations, tariff codes, import taxation structure, and documentation requirements pertaining to imports.
• Acting as the contact point between internal departments & technical teams.

I joined as an Import Officer. I was responsible to coordinate with Shipping / Air Lines and Freight Forwarders/Clearing Agents for Import shipment(s).I managed Materials, Procurement, Distribution, Warehousing and Store Sections to ensure the smooth and efficient operations.
Direct daily operations while maintaining full responsibility for operation performance, shipping and receiving and asset security
Optimizes planning & operational transportation decisions involving freight consolidation, mode/carrier selection, and pooling
Plan within appropriate lead times to maintain scheduling and purchasing/ordering efficiencies while avoiding additional expediting costs
Coordinate with customs authorities for import shipments & others issue like SRO & Duty, Taxes
Supervise and coordinated unloading of shipments
Ensure quality control for outbound shipments
Coordinate returns for damaged products & Monitoring warehouse day-to-day operations.
