My Masters’ degree in Economics equipped me with the necessary academic knowledge required for the position. I have more than 11 years relevant work experience with various organizations including Saferworld UK, Save the Children, Mercy Corps, Hashoo Foundation and Oxfam in Pakistan. Most of my career revolved around MEAL, Project/Program Management, Program Development and Communication.
I developed various comprehensive program strategies. This included detailed M&E/Indicator plans and various robust evidence collection mechanisms aligned with organizations’ accountability framework and strategic plan for program development. I have worked with sole projects as well as those implemented by consortia; developing logical frameworks, trained staff, building organization's capacities and managing various kinds and magnitudes of M&E systems. I take pride in my ability is to design and manage data/information management systems and stimulate information within the organization in efficient manner so that it could be timely utilized as meaningful knowledge. I have developed various databases (front and back end) including android based applications. I have produced a number of publications, documentaries/short films, papers and case studies and human-interest stories in most conflict sensitive manner with informed consent of the rights holders. I have promoted do-no-harm principles and other guidelines in developing and implementing projects among partner organizations. The communication material mainly focused on highlighting issues and cases related with international human rights obligations and commitments. I have also received recognition award from Prime Minister of AJK for project management.
I developed web based MIS with documentation management system for ARC project for partner organization. Trained SW and partner’s staff on outcome harvesting. Developed system generated automated results map. Coordinated between SW, Oxfam and implementation partner and made arrangements of gender and conflict sensitivity workshop. Assisted project manager writing various reports and stories by collecting data/information. Prepared documentation for ARC annual plan 2019. Responsible for overall management of 5 year's around 2 million Euros project and its day to day tasks.
I established and oversaw 3 core functions of the organization; MEAL, Communications and Proposals Development. Developed organization’s profile, department manuals and organized trainings for staff. I was responsible for all donor communications including need assessment reports, baseline reports, success/human interest stories and case studies. I designed and conducted various surveys in the FATA. I secured 12 projects from UNWFP, UNOCHA, UNDP, Concern Worldwide, CESVI, Oxfam International, USAID among others. I secured 60 million PKR project from GHQ RWP for solar now project.
Developed organization profile, produced various types of project reports, case studies, stories of change, newsletters, annual reports documentary scripts among others. I designed and supervised android based assessment and trained more than 50 enumerators in 2 districts of Punjab. I also lead and authored the report for the assessment. I was responsible for coordinating with Media and Communication consultants for development of IEC material, documentaries and other material. I was responsible for liaison with donors and partners for fundraising events. Designed and produced various IEC material on various nature of projects including Humanitarian, Livelihoods and Education sectors
I developed and lead the centralized M&E System. Ensured Q&A aspects across programs, analyzed and synthesized lessons. Identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints of the project with respect to projects / program implementation. Recruited and oriented M&E staff. Lead on the delivery of internal capacity building including maintaining, delivering and improving the M&E training package, and access to external training opportunities.
Producing quality progress and monitoring reports on conflict transformation program, including external donor reports, appraising the project activities, narrative and financial progress reports with highlighting issues of concern and sharing key findings with management, partners and other internal departments. Organizing learning and development events for 15 partners across Pakistan and Afghanistan. Developed a monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability system/framework for PRM funded project. Established, managed and strengthened Accountability to Beneficiaries mechanisms and provided support in developing and scaling Accountability to beneficiaries’ mechanisms in all project interventions. Followed up on the action plans agreed in order to reduce bottlenecks. Contributed in developing assessments/researches and analyzing the data for designing of effective interventions of the project, identifying new areas of intervention and expanding scope of existing interventions. Produced a variety of written documents e.g. data summaries, learning and accountability analysis reports, workshop reports, meeting minutes etc.
Developed overall MEAL Framework for the hub office Swat and field offices at Buner, Shangla, Lower Dir and Batkhela. Infused MEAL frameworks and tools in all of Save the Children’s interventions to provide effective support to program units. Managed MEAL systems at field level including collating, compiling, analyzing program learning and subsequent reporting on all response interventions. Carried out preliminary investigation of complaints of serious nature to facilitate management for informed decision making regarding constituting investigation committee. Organized learning events and workshop for program units to document lesson learnt, good practices and areas of improvement.
Supervised DM&E and project staff in developing new data collection tools for various projects. Managed various data management systems (Excel, SPSS and Online) maintained with the help of project staff, M&E Officer and Data Entry Assistants and shared timely data project data with the Program Management. Implemented DM&E three years strategy at field level. Used M&E results to suggest improvements in the quality of existing program interventions at field level, to inform and justify future intervention, and to provide feedback to partners and communities.
