Directing the international logistics team tasked with developing and streamlining the supply chain operations of the company.
 Overseeing operations related to shipping and logistics of FCL, LCL, Air shipments, break‐bulk and project cargoes.    
 Managing customs clearances for imports and exports of key customers not limited to custom duties/taxes.  
 Planning and handling of vessels for inward and outward clearance of agency vessels. 
 Negotiating rates for road, sea, air with vendors and ensuring that terms and conditions of vendor contracts are complied with. 
 Locating and developing business relationships with potential importers and exporters of project and dry bulk cargoes.  
 Responsible for compiling documents such as Letters of credit with banks, freight forwarding and custom clearance. 
 Developed strong and comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures for the company’s supply chain management. 
 Strong  focus  on  meeting  supplier  and  customer  demands  during  the  entire  logistics  operations  including  coordination, 
documentation requirement, customs and government regulations to streamline the cargo movements from point A to Point B.
 Continuous SWAT analysis of competitors to identify the company’s strengths and weaknesses and utilizing the opportunities to 
counter the threats being faced in the supply chain.

Job Description

- Responsible for carrying out the following aspects in the supply chain of break-bulk, project goods and infrastructure equipment: sourcing, purchasing, custom clearance, transportation and distribution.
- Conversant with Statutory Regulatory Orders of Customs Act related to import and export of infrastructure goods.
- Also involved in identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce the overall supply chain cost base.
- Monitoring data management to keep accurate product, contract, pricing and invoicing information.
- Working closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce cost.
- Ensuring the personal safety and safe working environment of staff.
- Communicating needs & objectives to senior managers & key personnel in procurement, logistics & distribution.
- Negotiating contracts to reduce costs and achieve maximum efficiency.
- Providing accurate routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
- Accurately calculating total supply chain costs in relation to proposed new projects.
- Obtaining quotes for custom clearance, transportation and also making cost comparisons for the same.

- Experience of liaising with forwarders and overseas companies to arrange collections.
